Really nice selections... Both of you!! Faith, the Yusuf Islam video has stunning camera shots. Beautiful photowork, song, and artist!! Definitely sounds like Cat Stevens. IP: Logged |

Aww that's such a sweet story! And your dad liked 'em too.. Yeah, I love 'em.. And you know what, I associate them with the sea/oceanic scenes too. It's hard to explain..but kinda like their music takes me to an oceanic place. When I'm listening to it, I feel like I'm at the beach on a cloudy day, or in the waves, swept up with the tide. Amazing how music can do that to us, eh? I'll try out your songs of today too..! IP: Logged |

I heard it first on this show, the O.C. (That was what gave me a 'connect' to this song..). Ever seen it? Umm, some drama show ..usually hate those. But this one had some authentic characters so I loved it.

Yeah..! It's so smooth yet strong enough to stand out.. quote: Originally posted by Faith: I agree, well, a lot of music is Neptunian? So we go to Neptune's realm in our minds?
Right, it is.. But I meant that only about Pink Floyd.. they evoke this particular imagery..other music evokes things too, each has it's own realm..it's own universeGahh..that's gibberish. For some reason, can't quite get it out, the thought. I'm not talking or thinking straight these past few weeks.. Just barfing up thoughts in formless blobs. Not making much sense, excuse moi. :/ IP: Logged |

@FaithThe Lumineers song cheers me up, for some reason. The first time I heard Bella Ferraro sing that song, I seriously cried. I still listen to it from time to time. Bon Iver is just raw, in a really good way. I've been listening to a lot of raw, earthy songs lately. IP: Logged |

Well thank you so much for asking!I usually listen to an hour loop of a single song or 2 or 3... In my dad's office I can get away with some lovely bosa nova This is my mountain biking (minus the mountain) music Panda, by desiigner A lot of the beats I love come with lyrics I feel are inappropriate for children. My solution is kpop, cocoa avenue- two black girls who love singing in Korean- in the car during family commutes... Children just can't watch the vid. Steamy! At home I'm trying to rap in Arabic with Shadia Mansour, el kuffiye, and I enjoy singing songs that make my heart happy with dead prez No Way As The Way eta: I caint hep it! I have to give you two more. Freedom Dance for Independence Day and a song I love, Alhamdulillah (praise be to God) IP: Logged |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEFxfVyz4Uc This one's for the lonely, the one's that seek and find Only to be let down time after time This one's for the torn down, the experts at the fall Come on friends, get up now, you're not alone at all Oh oh oh, oh oh oh Oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh And this part was for her And this part was for her This part was for her Does she remember? It comes and goes in waves This one's for the faithless, the ones that are surprised They're only where they are now regardless of their fight This one's for believing if only for it's sake Come on friends get up now love is to be made Oh oh oh, oh oh oh Oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh And this part was for her And this part was for her This part was for her Does she remember? It comes and goes in waves, I Am only led to wonder why It comes in goes in waves, I Am only led to wonder why Why I, why I try This is for the ones who stand For the ones who try again For the ones who need a hand For the ones who think they can It comes and goes in waves, I Am only led to wonder why It comes and goes in waves, I Am only led to wonder why Why I, why, why I try Oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh Oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh Oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh Oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh IP: Logged |
