Must watch. Stop going to Seaworld or any park that puts whales in captivity. Whales should not be in captivity period, this has to stop completely. http://www.seaworldofhurt.com/features/8-reasons-orcas-dont-belong-seaworld/ IP: Logged |

I agree that whales should never be in captivity, but CNN used a lots of trickery in this movie. Maybe you should learn about that rather than be their pawn, just a thought!------------------ LeekingChee IP: Logged |

I am not their pawn, I simply agree that whales should not be in captivity and the documentary brings to light interesting research about whales that supports why they should not be put in captivity. If you don't like something about the documentary that you find is manipulative or deceptive then please share and raise awareness but DO NOT call me a pawn. I would love to hear what you have to say. IP: Logged |

I think the movie was a bit biased, honestly. I live in San Diego, and you can really see the bond that the animals have with their trainers... it is really special. I remember even seeing it as a child and wishing to be a marine biologist because of it. Here in southern CA, Seaworld is responsible for many of our marine wildlife rescues... There is no one else to call when you find a baby seal. They really do have a love for their animals and what they do.... It may not be the most *natural* place for a whale, but I don't fully believe it is bad as it was made out to be... Honestly, if SeaWorld were to close, we would have hundreds of other animals dying locally with no one to rescue/ rehabilitate them.IP: Logged |
