Not me ------------------ Partial truth~the seeds of wisdom~can be found in many places...The seeds of wisdom are contained in all scriptures ever written… especially in art, music, and poetry and, above all, in Nature.

i disagree because there is some moths/ land critters that evolved to look identical to the type of leaf that is in their environment. it's an assumption to think blue eyes are a mutation and not from some other gradual change. why are middle easterners/italians (more southern) all have natural brownhair+eyes meanwhile irish/british have blue eyes and more blonde/red along with their light coloured skin. I had not seen that before Randall, very interesting I did not know scientists figured out where the common ancestor was from, also very interesting he's from Spain. It IS true that everyone with blue eyes has a common ancestor and that is was the result of a mutation. Take any basic genetics class or do a simple Google search. I don't have blue eyes, but all of my mom's side does (except my Grandma with hazel eyes), and my sister does. I have hazel eyes, they are light blue but my limbal ring is light brown. IP: Logged |

Brown to green eyes vary with the amount of melanin in their eyes- blue eyes are different because the gene that tells your body to put melanin in your eyes is turned off, so blue eyes have none or little melanin. Warning: Since blue eyes have no melanin there is a chance that they have greater risk in exposure to UV rays. Melanin in the eyes protects them from UV rays. Hmm.. out of all the places for blue eyes to grow and become semi-dominant.. is a place where they could thrive with much less sun exposure.. If white people have less melanin in their skin because they didn't need it.. maybe the same goes for their eyes.. you can't say they proved it cause no one has IP: Logged |

This is an interesting article I read that goes against this assertion. You should look into it. http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/gnxp/2008/01/blue-eyed-humans-do-not-have-a-single-common-ancestor/#.WK0LnPnyu70 ------------------ Scorpio Ascendant Aquarius Sun in 4th Gemini Moon in 8th Check out my blog ya'll: www.electrodgxtalks.wordpress.com IP: Logged |

Hard to take seriously an article where the author doesn't know the difference between you're and your. "The history of genes is not always the history of peoples, or, you’re ancestors."

I have blue eyes. Interestingly, the asteroid Iris is on my DSC. The Irish were known for Iris. There is much more if anyone is interested.IP: Logged |

Is it really worth discrediting an article with one or two possibly accidental spelling errors? That's an important question to ask. ------------------ Scorpio Ascendant Aquarius Sun in 4th Gemini Moon in 8th Check out my blog ya'll: www.electrodgxtalks.wordpress.com IP: Logged |

I thought the melanin played a role. From the mother and fathers genetics it would determine eye color. In my day the health classes taught that. I'm hazel eyed if you ask anyone who knows me, yet the eye doc said blue. My eyes can be chameleon like though.IP: Logged |

nah genious can be found in people who make a spelling error. i forget often enough. however that article didnt disagree. they just said it was confusing people about genetics, i found it irrelevent but yeah melanin protects the eyes, like the skin, from UV rays. the only place on the planet that has a population of blue eyes, is the place with the lowest sunlight. there's many mutations. when people have dwarf syndrome, maybe 1/250 000 have it. but it occurs if every one with blue eyes came from that man a mere 10000 years ago, that means about 8% of the worlds population came from that 1/1000000 people. also, scientists believe quantum entanglement plays a role in evolution. there is a species of birds who actually have some particles entangled in their ear drum, and they use it in a way to locate the poles. i believe in massive synchronisity, consciousness, guidance. i know we didn't just evolve merely from physical reactions. consciousness took a toll. it's the same way you get a feeling to check the beans after you forgot about them.. metaphysically letting you know the same way a bug will go left on the fork , to avoid a predator. when it was an important bug. the same way a particle will flow left. causing a slow but sure outcome of a bug's colouring to that exact of a zebra. consciousness. they've already proven the mere act of observing a particle will actually change the outcome of how it behaves.. merely because your awareness is one with it IP: Logged |
