hi all. i haven't posted in a while but wanted some insight/suggestions for my upcoming book. i'm on my 4th astrology book now and of course, since astrology doesn't change all that much it can be kind of repetitive. the signs stay the same, the planets stay the same, etc., so in each book i describe those/discuss those and wonder if maybe i shouldn't. maybe just jump right into the topic and assume people know the signs and planets? i'm interested in knowing how you like your astrology books structured... does it bother you to see the signs and planets explained in every book (even advanced books)? - do you prefer short or long books? do you skip over the sections that talk about signs/planets? is there an area of astrology you don't even see books on?any opinions are welcome!IP: Logged |

One thing about astrology is that there are as many viewpoints as there are people. Yours is a personal one and may be just the one someone relates to and will learn from. It's just like the Creative Being, there are many paths to the height of that mountain, just depends on the one that speaks to you. IP: Logged |

Skip the basic stuff that's in every book, and add some of the most common Asteroids. IP: Logged |

Ami Anne has been putting them into categories. That seems like the best way to do them, I just thought that was such a good idea to make them more coherent! IP: Logged |

You are so sweet, E. Thank you I like to read about real life stories one would not expect, like married people who have the name asteroid of each person on their Suns or Ascendant. There are so many interesting quirks with the asteroids like the above. I think true life examples with the planets, such as how the Moon/Pluto plays out in "once in a lifetime" relationships. I think that the more you do Astrology, the more you have these kind of quirky, fascinating and real life examples. ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? i don't like fame, lol. that's the beauty of online message boards and forums... we are probably communicating with celebrities and never even know it. my books are in libraries, bookstores, and of course amazon and BN, etc. i did a talk a few weeks ago with several other (non astrology) authors and guess who got the most questions on the panel. most people have a fascination with astrology and jump at the chance to ask questions about their charts - it's funny, because so many people say they don't believe in it, and then... :-) IP: Logged |

I really think Ami has the right idea on the asteroids. Looking at my chart with like a billion of them made me realize how they highlight certain things. So if you take them and categorize them for different applications, that would be something helpful. IP: Logged |
