They took out the nucleus (middle node of an egg) and inserted into another person's egg, and each contain DNA. The node is about 1/3rd, the egg is about 1/3rd, and they fertilized with sperm, another 1/3rd. The baby had GENES from all 3. Amazing.

omg Soren. Okay, so if people are in a Group Marriage (polygamy), and they wanted to create and bear a child, they could knit pieces of their genes together to make a 'family child'?

Puts the Victorian era imagination-story of Frankenstein, in a brand new modern reality twist?!

Sci-fi prophecies! They imagined it... but never knew they were making score-able psychic hits on a piece of our modern history? Sometimes too-- the future might not be as 'doomed' as some stories.

Real Medical Marvels are coming...
Now, if only some factions could make Peace-- in our time!

Actually, I had skimmed an article about that 3-Gene. I believe it said that part of their purpose was to try to 'correct' a faulty gene that family carriers were passing down to their next generation.

Interesting. *Spock eyebrow*
