I feel like whenever I mention astrology to a new person I've met they are forcing themselves not to roll their eyes and/or are trying to stifle back a laugh. Does anyone else have any stories where they read a skeptic's chart and predicted something would happen based on that chart and that prediction came true? Or scarily accurate natal chart readings?

My favorite examples make me wonder how anyone can 100% denounce astrology as fake.

1. On our 2nd date before I knew much about my now-ex I mentioned astrology and looked at his chart and immediately asked if his mom had died when he was young because he has an 8th house Cancer moon. His mom indeed died when he was 22 (which is young) and his mom (Moon) died (8th house) of breast cancer (obvious Cancer symbolism plus the fact that the sign of Cancer rules the stomach and BREASTS).

2. I also made a prediction about our breakup but obviously only noted this to myself. I saw transit Saturn would be exactly conjunct his natal Venus on January 28th of this year and either he would break up with me or we'd go through a rough time. Like clockwork he DID break up with me on the exact day at the exact time down to the damn MINUTE Saturn was conjunct his natal Venus.

Because of the continued proliferation of so-called 'horoscope' columns in print and online periodicals. Sorry, but even likeable guys like Rob Brezny put out blarney 99% of the time.

You've given an example of astrological timing, but most often it does not work out that way. Besides, those who eschew astrology are not interested in predictive astrology or anything serious astrologers have to say. Even Carl Sagan fought straw dog astrology (newspaper horoscope columns), because once persons identify with 'science' they usually seem to feel obligated to oppose astrology as 'pseudo-science.'

And then many astrologers and purveyors of 'astrology' and various things labelled 'horoscopes' give them plenty of reason, particulary with dubious sounding predictions or appeals to love, luck, money, etc.

It is partly skepticism/close-mindedness, which will usually never be cured; and partly the bad astrology spread around by those I prefer to call astrologists, those who occupy a place of belief in astrology but who possess dubious ability with it at best.

It's just so frustrating sometimes. I feel like I can't talk about it and yet it's something I'm so passionate about. It's like no matter how many predictions I make or accurate deductions of chart I make I can never win with some people. Ugh c'est la vie. I am just venting.

Coz what's spread in the name of astrology majority of times is BS, the type that is spread on FB, "Pisces Horoscope for today - 5 stars : Your day will be excellent". The funniest thing is the ones who spread this bull$hit claim to be professional astrologers. If you see what's being spread by these "professional astrologers", then you might hate it too. Another thing is some astrologers tend to interpret the placements and aspects however they want through their narrow lenses, without any proper study of astrology, without even going deeper into it, and they spread their interpretations all over the net in the name of "truth" and "freedom of speech", what an unprofessional conduct by the "professional astrologers"! And if they know how to manipulate people, it won't be difficult at all for them to make their blogs containing these interpretations popular, resulting in horsecrap being fed to the ones who read their blogs in the name of astrology.

Linda was adamantly opposed to dailies, although, she did say monthlies can have some marginal accuracy.
