Do you have any irrational fears that you can't figure out the source of? I was watching some show where this woman was terrified of cats and didn't know why or how this irrational fear came about since she'd never been clawed or bitten by one in her entire life. It reminded me of my own irrational fear of insects (I guess it's not super irrational, but still).

I've been terrified of butterflies (don't laugh!) since I was a small child and can't for the life of me figure out why. I've never had a traumatic experience with one, yet whenever I'm hiking and see a butterfly I have to wait until it flies away before I can hike on. Could a butterfly somehow have negatively affected me in a previous life?
