Yesterday I was giving a speech in my public speaking class when suddenly my PowerPoint presentation stopped working. Me being the astrology nut that I am just naturally blurted out that Mercury was wreaking havoc on me since it's currently retrograde and omg I kid you not, the professor looked at me like I was nuts for believing in astrology lol. I've also made comments about Venus retrograde during breakups only to once again be met by odd stares from people who don't get/believe astrology is real.IP: Logged |

It happens often to me. I live in the southern part of the US and they tell me I am going to hell. ? I have even had some people with more degrees than a thermometer... say the most horrid things. I used to try and argue the point with the moon is known to affect the tides of the ocean and since man is mostly made of salt water too.. why would it be such a stretch... OMG.... the reactions were not good. I empathize with ya...8 more days and counting

Hahha, needs some guts to insert it in public speaking I've found that the easiest way to talk about astrology with people who are not familiar seems to be to talk about the signs which are purrfect for each other..."ohh you are a libra? I read Aries is your match.....ohh how do I know? I read it on facebook....that facebook horoscope shizz you know...are you born on october? ...oh yes you ARE a libra?...me? ohh I'm Pisces....my perfect match?...umm Virgo...you know any Virgo chicks?....blahhh blahhhh blahh" IP: Logged |

Yeah that is true, but then some people are like "Oh but I don't fit my sign so that automatically means astrology isn't real". I never know how to respond to people who say that so I just change the topic lol IP: Logged |

Oh god I bet people are religious bible thumpers there. I've heard stories from astrologer friends who visit the deep south and wow some people are still racist and so against the occult there... but yet many of these same people were in the ku klux klan years ago! IP: Logged |

Telling them about themselves works yes, it is a 'normal' human tendency to want to hear others talk about them, they get 'a bit' of an ego-boost, better way is to tell them you are skilled at palmistry, give them a 'palm-reading' while blurting out the descriptions of their planets and signs, "this is your Venus...oops i mean love line...so this is how your love life will ve blahh blahh hurr hurr"....just thought of it, next time I'mma try that shizz . People are more likely to believe in palm-reading than believing how a planet that is 4.67 billion miles away from them is going to affect them cuz it's located in some imaginary 6TH HOUSE.IP: Logged |
