One of the chapters in my art class is about architecture and of course Grecian architecture was mentioned. The 3 Greek orders (columns) of which are Corinthian, Ionic and Doric were of particular interest to me because the Ionic order resembles a ram's head which immediately made me think of Aries. Does anyone know if the IONIC ORDER design has any relation to Aries because of those distinct ram-shaped horns at the top of the column?IP: Logged |

hah I am an architect, ...and I am from that neck of woods. To answer to your question, the Doric order was based on the proportions of the male body, while the Ionic order was modeled after the female body forms. IP: Logged |

Orange!! How easily the info comes when someone knows the correct answer. So, instead of rams, it looks more like fashion that a goddess would wear-- corset medallion breast cups? Xena Warrior Princess style! - http://www.pinterest.com/pin/373095150351398381/ IP: Logged |
