I thought it might be nice to have a thread where we share those moments when we just HAD to take a photo. Of anything (within the forum rules!)

I'll try to start, but it's been so long since I put a photo on LL it'll probably take me 32135413512453435435435 tries to get it to work. Here goes...

This was Loch Lomond, Scotland, the other week, looking seriously moody.

Talk about a picture speaking a thousand words, Beautiful. It looks like what I imagine Loch Lomond looking like.

Yes, I thought so too. The light was dimming (the curtain drops around 5-6pm this time of year in Scotland), but not quite dark and there had been heavy mist all day.

My partner pointed across the water and said that would be a good picture. I thought it was too dark, but WOW once I seen it - it had captured perfectly what we were seeing in front of us! It was like the passage to the Underworld. My Pluto was doing backflips.

I might share a few that I took with my proper camera, several years ago. I need to find them first (my old computer is upstairs, not plugged into a monitor, but I have a few on facebook).

Aw thanks everyone, I'm glad you like these Scottish wonders. I am very grateful for these environments, they replenish me, that's what leads to the picture. I am continually awed by Scotland.

Chanterelle, yeah, nature makes the best art, eh?

Mirage, I never thought of that. I don't have a good camera though and know nothing of professional photography. These were taken on my phone when I saw something I wanted to crystallise!

If anyone has pictures from their own journeys and countries, I'd love to see them. There is so much beauty in the world!

Tranquil. I can stare a long time at these. Definitely healing imagery.
Thank you for sharing with us. 🌸

The last one with the reflection on the water, a mirror in effect. Did you used to be or are you professional?

The last one - tipped sideways a bird is spreading his/her wings about to take flight.
Also in the middle - sideways, a baby koolah.

The second one sideways m to me hands of Buddhist monks praying. As well shoulders +head of a chalk white monk or idk but a bald figure.

Those 2 photos have so much imagry within them. You're talented.

I'm actually from the West, but we go runs (or 'road trips') frequently. Most of these photos are only 1-3 hours away. That's really cool about your friend, there are indeed some awesome castles in Scotland. I love ruins!

Glad you like them, the energy of the places itself is very special. You can feel the energies of the old settlements and rituals, especially at the sites with standing stones.

What amazed me about the Loch Awe photos that I didn't even notice until I looked at the photograph, is that if you turn them sideways, there is a totem pole image right along where the foot of the mountain meet the reflection in the water! So cool that you see this too, many images in there

I've never been a professional photographer, but I fancy it!

It's not me who is talented, it was all sitting there perfect, waiting for a picture. You can point a camera anywhere up there and not be disappointed

Wow, these are beautiful TensionEmpire. The first one is like the tropical version of my spooky Loch Lomond, but my favourite is the rainbow emerging from the forest - it's like a beam from the heavens and so stark against the moody sky.

Which country is this?

And thank you so much for sharing!

Hello Voix_de_la_Mer,

Yeah, I
thought about posting one after seeing your serene pictures, not the one I imagined but still foggy.

Yeah its beautifull, the Sun still hits the hills far away, giving this golden impression.

The photos are from Brasil!

Love them TensionEmpire. I've never been to Brazil, it looks stunning from your pictures. The spiders would give me a fatal heart attack though
