Bring it. I'll listen.

I'm not young in years but wisdom comes from everyone!

Young is a relative term..

You can have an 18yrs old that still acts like a 10yrs old and a 15yrs old thats as responsible as a 20yrs old.

This is also why after you hit your mid to late 20s you have to be carefull to avoid stress.

There's a diffrence between someone that ages slowly (linearly) and faster(exponentially).

You can have someone like Jack Lalanne, now deceased who was in his 80s still competing against 20yrs olds and was still very much young.

Or a 60yrs old that's mentally and physically as old as a 90yrs old.

Blueroamer, sometimes people don't want to hear what they need to hear, however that doesn't mean it won't be remembered when it matters.

I’m younger than most people on here and I’d love to hear what you have to say. Speak your truth 🥺.

I'm all ears and open to which ever you'd like to say......as long as its not about politics.

..I'm tired of hearing about that topic as well as populism and fanaticism.

For many people, high (middle?) school never ends.

Given that we have some animal lovers here, I'll share a little that I'd tell myself if I could go back in time long enough.

One, when trying to bribe a vet to see a cat who will die without immediate help, be sure to bribe whoever is on the phone as well. (And just because someone works with a vet doesn't mean they care about animals, even if they do some volunteer work that can be self-serving, and likewise therapists don't always care about you either.)

I'd also add that I'd be as worried about someone who is happy all the time as I am about someone who is never happy.

I agree with a lot of that, especially that romantic love isn't the only one that's important.

High school should end, but it doesn't. I've learned that I was right to keep my circle small. Don't believe gossip, and although I do think that most people are good at heart, you still have to be careful.

Video games aren't terrible - they can be a good distraction, give you something to focus on/work through, and some people make their money streaming them now.

I saw a YouTube video once with a ninety something year old man giving advice. It was part of a series of short clips where people of different ages give advice.

His advice was to not take anyone's advice because nobody really knows what they're doing. It was funny but I always like to think it's true.

Oh, he knew when he was writing ″And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss″, because she may call him pilgrim and he may call her saint, but when they touch they both become palmers.

Nice, Eternal Energy. I liked when he pointed out that when they were palm to palm, fingers entwined, their hands looked 'in prayer' together.

You are a Child of the Universe
No less than the trees and the stars
You have a right to be here ...

(music) Desiderata (Les Crane;
words by Max Ehrmann 1927, lyrics)
[3:53] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6X8YnCq6UME

quote:

Desiderata
GO PLACIDLY amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

That was beautiful Mirage. Thank you for sharing.
