LL is having a dry spell?

*Navel-gazing Whine Alert*

It's weird. I'm an introvert and happy with my own company, but sometimes I really want to be social and discuss stuff on LL, but no one is around

I don't like fakebook or social media in general and don't use it much. And I don't want to go to other sites anyways.

I want LL to talk to me, is that too much to ask godammit

(I'll probably be back under a rock tomorrow)

I have been there, but I'm currently feeling the opposite. I've been trying to bump old threads that might get people talking about more fun things, or just lighter things in general, because I don't want to gossip about Meghan Markle, and I love things like ghost stories. True spooky stories.

But I have books that I need to finish, and seeds to start, other things to do - and I need to adult, and get myself to a dentist, if I get a stimulus cheque. This is where I keep putting things off the most, because of money, and fear, and it just gets worse, so I need to just deal with it.

AHOY TEASEL! *waves frantically*

Welcome to my desert island, would you like a coconut?

Yes. More fun things would be good. More ANYthings would be good. Thank you for being a hero for the cause!

This happens to you too then? Isn't it awful. I'm glad I don't feel like this all the time

Geez, that's a lotta stuff to sort out, but you'll get there. Sucks when you can't be arsed though. Sometimes you just don't want to have to be anywhere or do anything. Although I wouldn't knock back a hike in the Highlands - roll on June!

Stimulus cheque - oh good, that'll be helpful

I can completely agree here! I added a comment on a Meghan thread but I feel she's not aligned with the quality of LL intelligent topics we have otherwise. jmo - we have We need to find a new (recycled) collective LL mind set here. In all honesty those old threads on woowoo are fun. LL needs a huge jolt of silliness to get past these heavier topics.

Yes, I miss having more fun things to talk about. Everything is so extreme. I’ve been backing away, because I’m feeling burnt out on all of it, so I either need to find a way to contribute something different, or do something else for a while.

I love looking through recipes, and now I’m feeling the urge to make ten different things from this site:

It was a slow day today. People in the US are waiting for their bank accounts to be stimulated.

I wish I was actually better at astrology, then I could contribute more in astro2.0 and PR.
I'm not reading cards just now, my mood isn't right for it and I'd be worried it would colour my readings.

@Randall
I wish my bank account would get stimulated! Hopefully it'll support the bounce back of the US economy

Navel-gazing alert... I’m still fiddling with Imgur so I can share flower pictures. It forced me to subscribe to several feeds and gave me seven points... I need to take a break. Why is technology so inherently stressful to me?

What is it you are struggling with with Imgur? I could maybe help?

Here... did it work? http://i.imgur.com/sFdJuXQ.jpg
Not visible on-screen as I’d hoped, but maybe this one will at least link to multiple pictures.
Nope.

Try copy/paste the "BBCode" and then remove the 's' from the 'https'.

@Chanterelle

I love that little white flower amongst the dead leaves. It reminds me of a saying I heard: "Life always finds a way"

You should post the BBcode into the photo thread, it would be a lovely addition.

That’s what I’ve yet to figure out... I’m using a cellphone, not a computer, if that makes a difference.

I haven't used Imgur on a phone, but to the right of your photo, there should be a list of links and the BBcode is one of them. At least that's what I can see on laptop.

‘Copy link’ and ‘copy post link’ appear to be my only options... I was hoping the second one would work for multiple images. As long as it’s technically visible...

Hm, must be less options when on a phone then. In the 2nd link I saw what looked like a closed dandelion surrounded by snow?

That’s the winter aconite. Not native to here — I think it’s from somewhere in Europe? I found it popping out of someone else’s compost pile a couple of years ago, and scattering the seeds from last year’s one flower has resulted in five new patches that will hopefully bloom next year. I went back and added a few more to your photo thread... next up is hellebores.
