yep Pid, the swine flu ate em Hopefully Randall can restore the forum. I refer to a lot of old posts as a measure of whats going on in the world today. Everything is still here. We just have a bad string that is fooling the clock, so the Forum won't show. All I have to do is delete that file; of course, easier said than done. ------------------ "Fortune favors the bold." Erasmus IP: Logged |

Wow. I haven't been able to log on in a couple of days (I think) and was very confused for a minute.I don't know if you caught my last post to you, Pid (and Jwhop), but I hope you did! Good luck, Randall. IP: Logged |

I don't remember what you posted last Eleanore. Perhaps I missed it. If Randall can't recover we're going to lose a lot of collected wisdom and considered opinions from past years. Hey Pid, I thought it was Swine Flu too. Let's see, a terrorist attack has been renamed "A Man Made Disaster. The fight against terrorists has been renamed "An Oversees Contingency Operation". Swine Flu has been renamed H1-N1 or something? Wouldn't want to offend anyone! IP: Logged |

Well, then, hey again, Pidaua! We're doing okay over here. I'm 31 weeks along with baby number 2, another boy. I remember talking about a point you made about how we "sign up" for this ... and the "this" for me atm is that my husband is currently TDY for a total of 3 weeks. I'm just glad that, as far as we know and keeping my fingers crossed, he'll be here when the baby's due! Also that we'd like to put Germany on our wish list but not really keen on going back stateside what with all the anti-military sentiment, etc. especially since crimes against military members and their families specifically for them being military shouldn't be considered hate crimes unlike "real" hate crimes against Jews and Gays (I was referencing some FL rep who made comments along those lines last week). I also responded to something you said, Jwhop, about our troops and how you think of my family over here. Thank you again. And then I went on a rant about something Obama related, lol. Pretty sure it involved that assinine memo about our veterans being potential terrorists and something about the irony of terrorists being released from Guantanamo out of concern for their civil rights nevermind the Cubans in miserable conditions in jails in Cuba just for speaking out against the government.
I gotta' run now. Just got back from picking up the kiddo' from preschool and was in the middle of posting this before I left. I've barely finished making this somewhat coherent, lol. /wave

Congratulations Eleanore!!! That is awesome about baby number 2. Bear and I are crossing our fingers for R&R in late summer.. so we'll see what happens. We are actually discussing extending and him moving over to the Regiment I work for so we don't have to go back to the states. With the economy and anti-Military sentiments you brought up, well... I am fine here and at least we are safe / stable. I'm sorry I missed your post. I can only imagine how incredible on point it must have been IP: Logged |
