i am so tired of seeing liberalism used as a dirty word and equivalent of stalinism. it means nothing of the sort except to rightwing egomaniacs who get paid to use it that way.i wonder, jwhop, how long you would last in the hot seat. the man was ELECTED largely because he was going to take on the healthcare/insurance mess and make sure everyone could afford healthcare. now his opponents are screaming for his head because he's still working on it 9 MONTHS later. fortunately for him he has a little historical perspective on his "popularity ratings". they didn't like reagan much either and we are now in the worst financial situation since the THIRD YEAR of his presidency. was he a failure too? and sorry ms p stepped down after a few weeks of "the treatment". ah-ah mr wilson, ah-ah, mr heath!! meanwhile the WHO and WTO are rubbing their hands in glee because no one seems to notice their little schemes to make national governments irrelevant... Yes katatonic, Liberals are not the problem. It's Leftists...defined as Socialists of any variety who are the problem.I've reminded some writers of this fact by email but they continue to use Liberals...and Liberalism. Perhaps they do so because leftists have been hiding behind the words Liberals and Liberalism for more than 30 years. How could you not have noticed that O'Bomber is the biggest cheerleader for the globalist government movement? His administration is stuffed full of globalist government morons. IP: Logged |

yes i know and a lot of good people are hoodwinked by the ONE WORLD thing...which in THEORY is true, it's just one world and it's getting smaller everyday. but SO FAR the only examples of global unity are CODEX (the european version of the new proposed FDA regulations) and the WTO. the UN is a joke in most countries, hence the somalian finger in the air and iran ignoring the bylines coming from that august organization.of course bush and clinton progressed this agenda with the amero stuff. and wilson all those years ago was its first serious proponent. unity IS. but it can't be regulated, mandated or enforced... Yep, I agree with you Lara. It's not too early to say "Failed Presidency" with regards to O'Bomber. His most recent failure was the failure to secure the Olympic Games for his home town Chicago, Ill...which just happens to be one of the most corrupt cities in the United States. After spending 18 months before the election haranguing Americans and lecturing on how much America sucks, he took his America Sucks show on the road to international audiences culminating with his America Sucks speech at the UN. So then, he goes to Copenhagen to tell the Olympic Organizing Committee how great America is and especially his home city of Chicago. He and Michelle Obama made an emotional appeal for the Games...and got thrown out in the first round of balloting. Perhaps the Olympic Organizing Committee believed O'Bomber when he was on his America Sucks tour. Of course the O'Bomber Kool-Aid drinkers brigades are trying to spin the loss of the games on...guess who.....Bush did it.

November 28, 2009 The Five Obama Fails By Adam SparksThe Obama Administration burst onto the presidency with a historic wealth of good will, hope and change. It is now marked by one failure after another. Unfortunately, these failures are not without costs. The heavy burden is born by consumers, taxpayers and to generations yet to come. Nearly one year later we have an economy heading in the wrong direction, unemployment rising, a deficit that will double, banks failing, a war command which is virtually ignored, 911 terrorists given all the rights at a civil trial and an Administration hell bent on destroying rather than "reforming" the world's best health system. Not a bad day for an experienced community organizer. 1)Bank Bailout. The banks were bailed out to the tune of trillions of dollars with no oversight. The result: Banks continue to fail all over the country and lenders are not making any commercial loans, causing more business failures. Obama's score? Fail. 2)Auto Bailout. GM was given billions of dollars and the government hand picked its board of directors. Result, GM is still losing billions each year. A simple bankruptcy would have allowed GM to emerge with leveled books, without the need to have invested a single dime of taxpayer money. 3)Cap and Tax. This boondoggle is more commonly known by the misleading name "Cap and Trade". This scheme caps all CO2 emissions at a level 83% below the current level of emissions and further punitively taxes any additional CO2 emissions. Even the left leaning Brookings Institute study predicted dramatic job losses, particularly in certain energy industries, of between 35-40% as soon as 2025. I'm guessing this legislation was the brainchild of China, as there is no better way to encourage the few American manufacturers we still have in this country to pack up and manufacture overseas. This discourages manufacturers from expanding their companies. Not a great idea in the midst of a global recession. This will not only be a jobs killer, it will be a huge tax to the consumers who will have this tax burden passed on to them in higher consumer costs. Trucking, flights, gas, electric and everything else that is moved or manufactured will go up in price. Obama fail. 4) Health Care reform. According to a Kaiser Foundation study, 89% of Americans are very satisfied with their current insurance plans. Creating a government subsidized plan that will now compete with private insurers is not competition at all. It will destroy private insurers until only the taxpayer subsidized government option is left standing. We all know how successful other government run programs are: Social Security: failing, Medicare: failing, post office: failing, Fannie Mae: failing, GM: failing, bank bailout plan: failing, creating more jobs after trillion in "stimulus"; failing, even the Obama touted, but poorly planned, Cash for Clunkers ran out of money unexpectedly in the first week. Obama said he would veto any health care reform bill which added to the deficit and yet he still explains the bill that's working it way through congress will insure an extra 40 million people without a loss in quality or increasing costs. Was I the only one he saw the Wizard of Oz and the fraudulent wizard behind the curtain? "Nothing to see here." How exactly does costs for insuring an extra 40 million people not increase costs to the taxpayers? Of course they will, they'll just juggle their books and pass on added costs to both the states, by getting them to cover the cuts in Medicare, and directly to taxpayers, particularly to the younger Obama supporters, through new mandates. Moreover, forcing insurance companies to take anyone with any pre-condition sounds populist, but what if you only bought your car insurance after you had an accident? How long will insurance companies stay in business? They won't and that's where we have another "government rescue" and another fail. Connect the dots on all of Obama's other big successes. 5) Global Warming Fail. Anthropogenic CO2 makes up about 3.2% of greenhouse gases. The New Zealand atmospheric scientist, Augie Auer, wrote that three-quarters of the earth is ocean, and 95 percent of the greenhouse effect is governed by water vapor. "Of that remaining 5 percent, only about 3.6 percent is governed by CO2 and when you break it down even further, studies have shown that the anthropogenic (man-made) contribution to CO2 versus the natural is about 3.2 percent. "So if you multiply the total contribution 3.6% by the man-made portion of it, 3.2%, you find out that the anthropogenic contribution of CO2 to the global greenhouse effect is 0.115 percent ... that's like .12 cents in $100. It's minuscule ... it's nothing." Finally, the Obama administration would like to sacrifice business growth, at an astronomical cost to both the taxpayer and the consumer, while slowing down our economy further, in order to reduce our carbon emissions by 20%. But, it's not a total waste; he will be satisfying his own left wing base. Assuming the entire world cooperates with Obama's plan, which it won't, this initiative will have a negligent effect on Global Warming. Another Obama fail. http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/11/the_five_obama_fails.html IP: Logged |

Five More Amateur Mistakes by the Obama Administration November 1, 2009 John HawkinsSince he has been elected, Barack Obama has been like a four year old wearing water wings and desperately trying to reach the edge of the pool. In other words, he has been completely out of his depth. Who could have known that giving soaring speeches about "hope" and "change" while voting "present" on the tough issues wouldn't be enough preparation for the most important job on Planet Earth -- oh wait, millions of Americans knew that and pointed it out at every opportunity. Unfortunately, the media was too busy obsessing over Sarah Palin's wardrobe and parody songs on the Rush Limbaugh show to actually consider whether or not a man whose biggest accomplishment was winning a Democratic primary against Hillary Clinton was qualified to be President. Of course, we can debate Obama's ideological decisions all day. Does the country need socialized medicine? Should he have pursued that staggeringly expensive stimulus program? Has he been applying enough pressure on Iran? The answers to those questions are no, no, and no -- but, there's a more important question we need to consider: does Barack Obama know what he's doing? Early on, the Obama Administration made a lot of foolish mistakes. Obama selected numerous tax cheats for his Cabinet. They gave the Russians a button that was supposed to say "reset"-- but that actually said "overcharge." They gave our best allies, the Brits, 25 DVDs of American movie classics -- that were not only wildly inappropriate, but wouldn't even play in their DVD players. Unfortunately, those early gaffes have not only continued; they've begun to have more serious policy implications. What are we trying to do in Honduras? After Fidel Castro wannabe, Manuel Zelaya, started trying to engineer a rigged vote to overthrow democracy in Honduras, the rest of the government there sprang into action and bounced him right out of the country. Bizarrely, the Obama Administration sided with Zelaya and against democracy in that nation. Eventually, by making it known that they wouldn't recognize the results of a new election, the Obama Administration seemed to have Honduras right where they wanted them: they appeared to be on the brink of putting Zelaya back in power. Puzzlingly, the Obama Administration then switched course on a dime and made it known that they'd accept the results of the election whether Zelaya was back in charge or not. In light of the change in American policy, Honduras went ahead with their elections without giving power back to Zelaya. There was no explanation for the Obama Administration's original position, beyond catering to leftist thugs like Hugo Chavez, and no explanation of their radical shift at the last minute. If you can figure out what they were trying to accomplish, you should tell Obama. He's probably still trying to figure it out. 2) Russia's missile defense date dupe: It's bad enough that Barack Obama, in a display of cowardice that would make Neville Chamberlain wretch, unhesitatingly tossed the Poles and Czechs over-the-side on missile defense in an effort to appease Russia. Keep in mind that when we first went into Iraq, Poland was one of only three other nations to actually put their troops in harm's way to help us. Their repayment for that act of friendship and loyalty? We pulled back from building missile defense in their nation and made the announcement on the 70th anniversary of Poland's invasion by Russia in return for...well, nobody seems to know. There was an unmistakable message that Russia wanted to send to the small Western European nations on its borders by making the announcement on that date: It was, "America can't help you now. Russia owns you." Their message was sent with Obama's help as once again, he was played for a fool. Since then, Obama has backpeddled in an effort to fix the damage his bungling caused in the first place. It's almost as if Obama has no coherent strategy, no idea what he's doing, and is so far over his head that he doesn't know which way is up. But, it couldn't be that because if it were, Chris Matthews and the New York Times would be talking about it on a daily basis -- right? 3) Putting Khalid Sheikh Mohammed on trial in New York: No one seems to be able to give a coherent explanation for the decision making process behind this. Other terrorists are being put on trial at military tribunals, so why not Khalid Sheikh Mohammed? Why put someone through the American system of justice when both the President and Attorney General are publicly assuring everyone that no matter what happens, he can't be found innocent and released? You think putting KSM in front of a military tribunal, where at least, theoretically he could be found innocent looks bad? Well now, we're risking intelligence secrets getting out, increasing the risk of a terrorist attack on New York, and making it possible KSM might be acquitted on a technicality for a hearing that makes the greatest system of justice in the world look like a show trial cooked up by North Korea. 4) Cash for Clunkers: In a nutshell, the Cash for Clunkers program involved borrowing billions from the Chinese to incentivize Americans to destroy their working cars in order to buy brand new foreign cars. Although it's debatable how accurate their data is, according to the Department of Transportation, 4 out of the top 5 models bought in the program were made by foreign car companies. Moreover, after the program ended, predictably, the sales of new cars dropped considerably because the program didn't create new demand so much as cause people to buy a few months earlier than they would have anyway. In other words, not only did the program fritter away 3 billion dollars in borrowed money, it led to the destruction of more than a quarter-of-a-million functional cars that were bought and paid for by the government and could have been given to the poor or charity. The Obama Administration's reaction to this debacle? They want to create a cash for appliances program. Will they ever, ever, ever learn anything? 5) Why all the bowing? Most Americans find the idea that they should bow to another person offensive and they find it even more galling when their President does it. It's almost an insult by proxy. If even your leader is willing to admit he's inferior, what does it say about you? Obama seemed to realize this mistake, albeit after the fact, when he bowed to the Saudi King. Weirdly, even though many Americans actually saw Obama bow on video, the White House simply denied that it happened. How much audacity do you need to lie about something that tens of millions of Americans have seen with their own eyes? Even after that experience, Obama went on, in a grotesque, servile fashion to bow to both the Emperor of Japan and the Chinese Prime Minister. It was a pointless, humiliating display that quite frankly, made many Americans embarrassed for him as a man and slightly ashamed that we have such a weakling in the White House. http://townhall.com/columnists/JohnHawkins/2009/12/01/five_more_amateur_mistakes_by_the_obama_administration IP: Logged |

O'Bomber has managed to exceed my expectations that he would become known as the worst president in American history....AND, he's managed to do that in only 14 months in office.Polls show O'Bomber's job approval ratings are the lowest for any president for the same time period he's been in office. Perhaps it would have been different if O'Bomber actually were the most accomplished, most intelligent, most experienced guy in the room when he commences to hector, lecture and deride America and Americans. Instead, O'Bomber is the lying empty suit Marxist, Socialist, Progressive held upright only by the hot air which issues from his lower orifice... exactly as I predicted. Obama the Entrepreneurship Expert By Monty Pelerin March 15, 2010 President-of-the-World Obama is at it again. Apparently, he feels that the problems in this country are too small for him, or else they have all been solved. His wisdom and greatness are too important to be squandered on only one nation. They must be made available to save the entire world. In his latest initiative, Obama takes "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help you" across national borders. The White House recently "announced a 'summit on entrepreneurship' to build economic ties with the Islamic world, part of President Barack Obama's outreach to Muslims." It has invited participants from more than forty countries over five continents for the April 26-27 conference in Washington. On one level, this initiative is laughable, undoubtedly worthy fodder for several "Saturday Night Live" and Jon Stewart skits. On another, it reflects a serious situation -- the continuing delusional nature of Obama and his administration. The lighter aspects The "summit" represents more TV face-time for the president, a Pavlovian response by the White House to all problems. The public has soured on what is seen as Obama's endless campaigning. They want constructive action rather than continued platitudes and campaign slogans."Talk is cheap" is an axiom the White House does not seem to get. Approval polls are in free-fall. Obama, at this stage, is well ahead in his race to displace President Jimmy Carter as the worst president of the past several generations. He shows all of Carter's ineptitude without Carter's sincerity. Desperation regarding the unpopular health care bill is making Obama look like the next Joe Isuzu, the fictitious liar in Isuzu commercials. Does the White House not understand how farcical its actions have become? Are these people clueless or incompetent? Both hypotheses fit the facts. Making a definitive choice between them (although both could be valid) is not possible at this point. Now, we have Obama about to pretend that he is Peter Drucker, world's greatest management guru. Here is a man with zero business experience, surrounded by advisers with similarly deficient experience. Yet Obama and his advisers believe that he is competent to lecture the world on entrepreneurship. Would it be impolite to ask what the president has done to further entrepreneurship in his own country? Have any of his prescriptions and proposals helped entrepreneurs? If so, which ones? If foreign leaders care at all about their economies, they will separate themselves from this conference. Investment and hiring in this country stopped when Obama's solutions were rolled out. The delusional aspects We have a president who believes that he is always the smartest man in the room, no matter what room. Actually, he is always the least experienced and probably least qualified in any room. The fact of the matter is that he has no experience in anything. What is known of his background includes stints as a "community organizer" and an adjunct professor. What skills are required to be a community organizer? What experience is gleaned? No experience that is useful or transferable to an executive role. Obama's short stint as a lecturer of constitutional law was unremarkable in any academic sense. No evidence of writing or publishing can be found. The most notable aspect was his interpretation of the Constitution. He views the Constitution as a "living document," open to changes that produce "social justice." In effect, other than as a quaint artifact of history, for Obama, the Constitution does not exist. Despite this vacuous background, Obama believes that he knows more about medicine than doctors, more about business than businessmen, and more about creating jobs than entrepreneurs. This sad litany could be continued ad nauseam. There is no evidence within the past year that Obama does not believe that he has more to contribute than anyone else. A rational man with such limited background would defer to those wiser than he. Instead, Obama presents himself to be an expert on all things. Does he not see how ridiculous this makes him look in the eyes of the public? What must audiences of doctors, businessmen, or entrepreneurs think about this man-child with zero experience? One can only imagine the disgust and anger they must feel. "Don't worry: I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night" may work for TV, but not as a governing strategy. Yet Obama must believe that he received more than a good night's sleep. In his mind, he appears to believe that he is something special, something larger than his office. A messianic image was part of his campaign. It appears that he bought his own image. "The One" is an image clearly in conflict with reality. The polite word for such behavior is "delusional." I am not a psychologist or psychiatrist, and I do not pretend to have such skills. But any observant person will see the president's behavior as bizarre, if not outright dangerous. James Lewis detailed the president's extreme narcissism, as have others. In Lewis's words, "The question is what real damage Obama may do to the country. This man has been entrusted with the greatest power in the world." The issue can be understood on a human as opposed to a clinical level. What would you do if your best friend believed that he was more knowledgeable than astrophysicists, oncologists, economists, businessmen, or scientists? What if he believed this so strongly that he felt that he was entitled to "teach" them? As a friend, you would presumably get him professional help. The president is behaving like your friend. To be sure, other presidents have rebuked industries or professions. Eisenhower came down hard on the military-industrial complex; Kennedy did so with the steel industry. Others have chosen whipping boys for both good reasons and political ones. None, however, presumed that they were smarter than everyone else. Other than Obama, no one believed that they had unique knowledge, that it was applicable everywhere, and that it could improve everything. The president's behavior is clearly delusional and likely messianic. While he sees himself as some modern-day, handsomer version of Yoda, more of the citizens of the nation he serves are beginning to see him as a sick puppy holding the highest office in the land. He appears to be marching to a tune that is audible only to him. Where are his friends, and why do they not intervene? Are they afraid to confront him with reality? For the sake of the nation, if not for the sake of the man, someone must confront this problem. Delusional behavior is dangerous under any circumstances. It is potentially devastating when it afflicts the head of the world's most powerful country. Does Obama not have a friend who will intervene? Are they all such political toadies and ideologues that they will sacrifice him and the country to achieve the president's goals http://www.americanthinker.com/2010/03/obama_the_entrepreneurship_exp.html IP: Logged |

That's O'Bomber and his merry little band of Socialist Progressives in the White House and Congress. If you're looking for traitors, start your search there katatonic. I'm not the one making war on America and the American people by attempting to govern without the consent of the people, trash the economy, force Americans into a government run Socialist health care system and coddle terrorists. without the consent of the people? wouldn't that be "W" who took the presidency on a manipulated vote count? as i said before, obama is the elected president of the country. the healthcare reform issue was not exactly a secret during his campaign. the fact that your people have conducted a smear campaign on all the wrong points of that bill has succeeded in making a hash of the whole thing...ie, divide and conquer, right? your self-professed strategy on these very pages.as i've also said, there's plenty to be concerned about in this administration. but obama"s being a cult personality is not one of them! and now the fundamentalist christian right-on-the-radio are trying to equate desire for "social justice" with communism. gordon bennett!!! but let's talk about failed presidents. shall we start with eisenhower, who was recruited by the republican party (long out in the cold after roosevelt and truman) because he was a very recognizable hero in the eyes of the mass public. tho he warned on his way out about the militaryindustrial complex, he did not tell us that the reason he saw this problem was because they had been using him to strengthen their hold on the atomic energy industry among others... or kennedy, who did actually attempt to run the country, but ran foul of the machinations behind the scenes and was taken out... or johnson, who fell for the argument for more troops in vietnam until he realized there was NO WAY OUT with honour...he refused to even run for a second term; or nixon...who went out under major ignominy; or carter, whose attempts at peaceful rulership were mocked and undermined by the machinations of the same m-i complex and others reagan? on whose watch there were TWO major economic meltdowns despite his wonderful grasp of "trickle down economics" - one in his third year (when it is hard to blame the previous administration anymore) and another in his 7th. to this day people try to credit him with the release of the iranian hostages despite the fact that all the negotiations were done by carter's people and the release happened BEFORE reagan swore his oath. clinton that socialist was the only president in the second half of the century to hand a SURPLUS over to his successor who promptly turned it into the biggest deficit we've ever known, though truth be told it is the numbers that are bigger (due to the devaluation of money worldwide and especially the dollar!) and a projected deficit much larger due to interest to be paid on the loans that paid for the war... again i invite you to a) run for the office, that should be disillusioning enough for most people and b) WIN the election and turn the country around in ONE YEAR. go on, make my day!! I'm going to put your name forward for the Guinness Book of World Records katatonic.I'm sure they must have a category titled "World's Shortest Memory". At the time Congress passed the Joint Resolution of Congress authorizing the use of force to remove Saddam Hussein about 70% of Americans were in favor of the Resolution. In fact, demoscats were scared to death to vote against the Resolution for fear of the backlash from their constituents. O'Bomber and O'Biden are the dud duo. In fact, O'Bomber is still in campaign mode jetting around America speaking to pre-selected audiences. No naysayers allowed. However, the interesting part is that he's being snubbed by House and Senate members from the district and states where he speaks. They're running away from O'Bomber and attempting to disassociate themselves from O'Bomber and his disasterous programs. Being seen with O'Bomber is seen as being a disaster for their re-election prospects. IP: Logged |

The nonsense that Bush stole the 2000 election was laid to rest years ago katatonic...for all rational people. In fact, there were 3 vote recounts in Florida. Bush won them all. In addition to that, the NY Times along with a coalition of other newspapers came to Florida to do their own recount hoping to be able to declare Bush an illegitimate President. Their findings were that Bush won Florida by a larger margin that the official vote totals showed. That was in all the leftist newspapers katatonic. Pity you don't get out more...or at least read more. If you did, you wouldn't make yourself look utterly foolish by making an allegation which was proved to be a crock of crap long ago.
