So, there's a program underway to send 5 million pink slips to members of congress expressing the outrage Americans feel at the various power grabs, overspending and ignoring their bosses wishes. So far, more than 3 million have been ordered and they've run out of pink paper for printing the pink slips. But, more paper has been ordered and it looks like the 5 million pink slip number may be exceeded. IP: Logged |

3.5 million congressional 'pink slips' hit mark! WASHINGTON – A new surge has pushed the total number of "pink slips" heading toward members of Congress past 3.5 million, just after a second member of that institution issued a ringing endorsement of the effort. "Ultimately it is the private citizen who is the final judge on the success or failure of the government," said Rep. Todd Akin, R-Mo. "The 'pink slip campaign' serves as a good reminder of the unavoidable fact that every member of Congress answers to their constituents and that they ignore their voices at their own peril." Meh, I don't need to send pink slips to a bunch of puppets. I choose to send a pink slip to every single modern day idea of government and how it is practiced, metaphorically speaking I guess. IP: Logged |

OK, for all those who believe there are puppet masters in the wings manipulating our so called "public servants"; please provide a list....BY NAME of those "puppet masters".Trust me katatonic, somewhere in desks on Capitol Hill there are charts with a formula which shows how many people are actually represented by one written letter to a Congress person. The rule of thumb answer to that used to be that if congress received one written letter on a subject 1000 more people agreed with the thrust of the letter who didn't take the time to write.
