You really love to analyse posts to pieces, friend, but I agree with your premise.

Yes, suicide is not a solution, but to judge someone who chose to end their life is 'selfish', because in all fairness, to judge someone, you need to put yourself in their shoes and yet remain objective enough to analyse their emotions without feeling their impact on your self.

If someone chooses to end their life, it is their last effort to exert control over their life, to assert that they own themselves and are answerable to no one. The pain for those who are left behind leaves a void that even time may not fully heal, but to judge someone is an act of dissonance, not love.

Frozen, I don't think you understand Valus' position if you think he's condoning judging people that commit suicide. He was defending people that entertain or commit suicide in that thread.

I won't say it's right, and I won't call it wrong, but I have been there and not just once.

If a suicide can be prevented, it should be done. But not by judging the person who attempts it or by condemning them and calling them 'selfish' for the observers don't know the psyche of the tormented one. That is not love.
