yes some work very hard to ensure they call the shots in california. as i recall the worst thing fiorina has had to say about boxer so far was a catty girlschool comment about her hair being "so yesterday". it is OH so arrogant for a woman to ask to be called by her title and not "ma'am" isn't it? downright UPPITY even.of course the lady who shipped all those jobs out of california in order to be able to buy her way into the senate race has shown repeatedly that mentally she is still in the highschool cliquettes. meanwhile the koch brothers are trying to threaten californians with continued unemployment if they don't give up their green jobs and principles. http://environment.change.org/blog/view/college_student_takes_on_big_oil_billionaire_in_prop_23_fight#share_source=blog-top_fb thanks to abs for showing me this! Fiorina doesn't really need to say anything bad about Babs.Babs convicts herself out of her own mouth. Of course, most of the brain dead leftist elitists should keep their mouths firmly closed and stand on their right to remain silent. Babs "Call me Senator" is just the kind of elitist crap the American public has been hearing from these elitist morons for years. I've worked very hard for that title..Senator. Right! And the guy Babs ripped is a General who ducked bullets, camped out in jungles and deserts and spent most of his career far away from his family. Obviously, Babs worked far harder for her title than he did. IP: Logged |

do you think the general would just sit still for being called "boy" or even "sir" and not "general"?do you think boxer should make hay and ridicule fiorina while she's in the hospital? honestly, if insisting on being called by your rightful title is a crime or even "elitist" why do we need to recognize the general's rank? who is the elitist? the woman who made her fortune outsourcing jobs, the general who got his title probably partly through politics as well as doing his job (but without anyone voting on it) or the senator who has been elected over and over again to public office in her home state? i don't care if he ducked pies. she can and should correct people who don't address her properly. otherwise a whole lot of people would answer to, "hey ahsole " it is a respect thing. jwhops, you understand that, you would argue with kat if she said the sun shines at noon. IP: Logged |

In the US military, the words "Sir" and "Ma'am" are used to address superior officers in lieu of using their ranks..such as General etc. Either is proper. If ma'am is good enough for addressing the Queen of England then....it sure as hell is good enough for addressing the airhead leftist Babs Boxer. but jwhop, why would an american general and senator follow english custom regarding the queen when in america in dealings between a general and a senator? what the general is used to in the army is not "proper" when talking in official capacity to a SENATOR who is NOT in the army. she is way more entitled to be called SENATOR boxer than sarah palin is to be called GOVERNOR anything, but protocol allows EVEN QUITTERS to retain that title out of courtesy.and they don't call the queen ma'am until AFTER they have called her "your majesty". why on earth would you refer to the english hierarchical etiquette when discussing americans? and here i thought we were better than monarchists! guess i was wrong there.looks like "babs" will be being called "senator" a few more years anyway. last i heard she only won by about 800,000 votes. i would call ARROGANT a corporation that FIRES its employees for exercising their rights of freedom of association, speech, and political preferences. not insisting on being called by your MANY TIMES RIGHTFUL title IP: Logged |
