The Ainu (アイヌ?, Aynu アィヌ [ʔáinu] (also called Ezo in historical texts) are indigenous people or groups in Japan and Russia. Historically they spoke the Ainu language and related varieties and lived in Hokkaidō, the Kuril Islands, and much of Sakhalin. Most of those who identify themselves as Ainu still live in this same region, though the exact number of living Ainu is unknown. This is due to ethnic issues in Japan resulting in those with Ainu backgrounds hiding their identities and confusion over mixed heritages. In Japan, because of intermarriage over many years with Japanese, the concept of a 'pure Ainu' ethnic group is no longer feasible.[3] Official estimates of the population are of around 25,000, while the unofficial number is upwards of 200,000 people.[1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ainu_people

AINU

Ainu man in the
early 20th century The Ainu are an ethnic group, distinct from the Japanese, that live today almost exclusively on the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido. They were traditionally hunters-gatherers and fishermen. They didn't practice rice farming like the Japanese. They hunted bear, sea otter, deer and other animals, gathered wild plants and fished for whales, seal lions, swordfish and salmon on the open seas until they were driven inland by the Japanese.

The Ainu traditionally were not a homogeneous group and were usually divided into three groups: 1) the Kurile Ainu, who lived on the Kurile Islands in present-day eastern Russia; 2) Sakhalin Ainu, who lived on the northern Sakhalin Island in present-day eastern Russia; and 3) Hokkaido Ainu, who lived on Hokkaido and southern Sakhalin Island. "Ainu" (pronounced EYE-noo) is the Ainu word for "human.” The Ainu have rounder eyes, ighter skin and more body hair than the Japanese.

The Ainu are quickly vanishing as a distinct and separate group of people. There are only a few hundred pure-blooded Ainu left. Government surveys counted 23,782 pure- and mixed-blood Ainu in Hokkaido in 2006 and several thousand in Tokyo and about a thousand in other places in Japan.. Most live in the Hidaka district of Hokkaido, southeast of Sapporo. An Ainu cultural organization said the true number of Ainu could actually be higher because many Ainu do not admit their ethnic background to avoid discrimination. http://factsanddetails.com/japan.php?itemid=638&catid=18

Thank you for posting that, Glaucus. It was very interesting. I had never heard about the Ainu man before.

So, the "revolution" continues to hit the brick wall as citizens rebel against leftist policies all across America.

Governors are suing the federal government over O'BomberCare and other programs from leftist central.

Governors are also taking back their states from the over reach of conspiracy between demoscat politicians and public employee unions.

Breaking the cycle of huge political contributions to demoscat politicians to get them elected and then, the payoff for unions when those same bought demoscat politicians grant budget busting pay, health care and pension benefits to state employee unions.

None of this can be sustained or should be by state taxpayers who are funding..through taxes...pay, health care and pensions which greatly exceed those of state taxpayers in the private sector.

All across America, state employee unions have been killing the geese who lay those golden eggs for corrupt demoscat politicians and their equally corrupt union bosses.

It's really funny to see these utterly corrupt demoscat state senators from Wisconsin flee the state to avoid their primary jobs...which is...To Vote!

How do you say...It's over?

Wisconsin Democrat's union contract conspiracy revealed
Phil Boehmke

Knowing that Governor Walker’s budget repair bill was a virtual lock to be passed by the legislature and signed into law, an ugly conspiracy to push new union contracts in Madison was set in motion by the mayor and a senate ally. WITI-TV reports that Mayor Dave Ciesliewicz was pulling out all the stops in a frantic attempt to beat the clock and deliver one last trip to the public trough for his union benefactors.

E-mails obtained by the FOX6 Investigators show that the mayor enlisted the help of State Senator Mark Miller. They both tried to convince the Secretary of State to hold up the bill by taking the maximum 10 days allowed by law before publishing the bill.

They were trying to buy some time so they could ratify new contracts to protect workers from benefit cuts. Citizens for Responsible Government Rep. Chris Kliesmet says, “This suggests, and this is a harsh word, collusion. There is collusion between some politicians and public sector employee unions.

Although Mayor Ciesliewicz admits that the new union contracts were rushed, he claims that the city did negotiate in good faith. The Democrat mayor said “We ARE on the same side. That’s the way collective bargaining works. It ought to be a negotiation, but at the end of the day we want to have good working relationships between labor and management here in Madison.” There can be no doubt that there is an excellent relationship between Madison’s union workers and management, since their goal of fleecing the taxpayers to serve their own interests is the tie that binds.

According to the E-mails, Secretary of State Doug LaFollette declined to delay publication of the law, but it all became a moot point when Senate Democrats fled the state to block the bill.

Chris Kleismet from CRG said it appears the 14 Senators orchestrated their trip to Illinois to buy time for unions all over the state to work out new deals.

For some reason I am reminded of the Twilight Zone episode To Serve Mankind, where seemingly friendly aliens arrive on earth with a mysterious book entitled To Serve Mankind, of course things are never what they seem to be and the book in question is revealed to be a recipe book on how to cook tasty meals made from unsuspecting earthlings. Here in America it seems that the book is called To Serve the Taxpayers, the result is remarkably similar.

you mean the way the republicans voted in the last congress? NOT?

their "primary job" is to represent those who voted for them. which they are doing by not contributing to this takeover by the puppet governor...

First They came... - Pastor Martin Niemoller
First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

they also came for the gypsies (read illegal "aliens")

no similarities here, right jwhop?

the citizens of wisconsin are also protesting in large numbers. funnily fox news, the best funded news corp in the country right now, couldn't afford to FILM the actual protests but posted stock pics of a small bunch of protesters in some location with palm trees...

"their "primary job" is to represent those who voted for them"

You sound utterly confused katatonic.

Let me clear up your fog.

After the Wisconsin November elections, the State Assembly is composed of:

60 Republicans
38 demoscats
1 independent

After the Wisconsin November elections, the State Senate is composed of:

19 Republicans
14 demoscats

After the Wisconsin November elections, the Governor's Mansion is occupied by:

1 Republican

So katatonic, the will of the people is being thwarted by 14 demoscat state senators who fled the state to avoid their primary jobs...which is To Vote.

"the citizens of wisconsin are also protesting in large numbers"...katatonic

Untrue! The protesters are union stooges, some of whom are thug union officials and some of whom are from out of state. In fact, our Community Organizer...O'Bomber sent his own delegation of protesters from Organizing For America into the state to stir up trouble.

Btw, 67% to 25%, likely voters disapprove of Wisconsin senators fleeing the state to avoid voting.

i'm sorry, didn't people vote for those democratic senators as well? you subscribe to the "winner takes all" theory of government then? ie, because the majority put this republican governor in he can pretend he is king george III? do whatever he sees fit?

that is not how i was taught our government is supposed to work, sweetie.

as to your polls of "likely voters" well, you know what i think of them.

for the last TWO YEARS the republicans on capitol hill have been stonewalling the duly elected government from getting much done.

why is this bad? because they are democrats? are you really that one-sided?

AhA! That`s the troublesome glitch in Wisconsin

quote:
60 Republicans
38 demoscats
1 independent

After the Wisconsin November elections, the State Senate is composed of:

19 Republicans
14 demoscats

Lost the only Independent... it would run much smoother with 3/4 Independents running the show
