still playing coy? i would love to hear what qualities you consider "appropriate" to womanhood, jwhop. and which ones the gal sal has that "leftist" women don't? that covers an awful lot of women, doesn't it?

meanwhile i suspect for every trait considered "appropriate" to Womanhood (by you) there is someone with a different list...

do you mean, having five children? wearing skirts? culling wolves?

or perhaps calling men "Daddy" to make them feel powerful?

pray do tell! i'm all aquiver now!

lucky for us all there are lots of people to choose from, eh? just as i find apple pie a trite expression of americanhood, i find all those things taste...canned, shall we say? not that there is anything wrong with wearing skirts, having kids or calling a man Daddy, but in what way do they define womanhood? there is so much more than that, isn't there?

do either of you have five kids?

ami do you love it when your main squeeze calls you Mommy too?

why is it that "womanhood" is equated with acting like a 5 yr old girl?

Just to keep this conversation going in the right direction; let's just say leftist women are from the Save the Whales and Kill the Babies Club, while Sarah Palin believes in life and walks the walk too.

One of those "attributes" of womanhood we were talking about.

you know, not all "leftist" women agree about everything! as to saving the whales, many believe in saving ALL life, not just humans'...and helping to protect a life sustaining environment is pro-life in my opinion~!

then again many see "rightist" women as being all for saving the foetus but once it's born, forgeddabout it...especially if it doesn't agree with their politics.

i don't actually see palin going ahead with her last baby as an act of heroism or particularly womanly, since a great many men are horrified by abortion under any circumstances...and she certainly can afford to make this child's life better than a lot of poor women who struggle to cope with such an issue.

and i know plenty of women you would call leftist who not only have downs' babies but have worked really hard at getting those babies accepted in the "normal" world as "normal" people.

i am so tired of people acting like she is superwoman because she didn't abort this last child. any female can have a dozen babies it is how they are cared for that makes a mother.

i have a cousin you would probably call leftist despite a family of eleven children and 23 grandchildren, and a host of military lifers among them.

turning a child into a political issue is just crass - again, in my opinion...

and i would consider a garden gnome more manly than someone who needs to be called daddy so his ego can puff up a little more.

If you think children shouldn't be used as political pawns then katatonic...you should have a long, long, long talk with your leftist buds because they're the location of all the political blither, blather, bloviation and bullshiiiiting about Sarah Palin's children.

Sarah Palin IS pro life and she didn't have Trig just to impress anyone.

On the other hand, I could...and if you continue down this path, I will...post a list of leftist women who are members of the Kill the Babies Fraternity.

When it comes to "womanhood" they are disgraceful examples. Let's just say they don't have the right stuff.

i think palin has capitalized plenty on her kids. all of them.

like i said, bearing children is not the mark of womanhood. how you raise them is more to the point.

i am not commenting on how she raises her kids. that is her personal life.

nor do i think you, a man, is in any position to decide whether in all cases a FOETUS is more important than its mother. too many variables and not enough personal experience.

but do try to make up your mind whether leftists are encouraging rampant childbearing or child murder? your ghoulish imagination is working overtime if you think abortion is about bloodthirsty harpies in full sway.

especially since the "rightists" seem ALSO to think that birth control is a waste of time and money. ever been to india?

i wouldn't presume to judge her decision to have any of her kids. i am not privy to her private thoughts, as you seem to be.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder as are morals, strength and character.. thus opinions vary on that statement, ami. some would say she was a limelight-blinded quitter but there you go!

Well ,Kat,up until Obahma was elected ,I studied political things.
Once he was elected,I figured we were gone.It was hopeless so I stopped studying and caring ,even.
Only a miracle can bring our country back from the brink.
The only hope are the Tea Parties and people like Palin.
I still have some hope as I am an optimistic person but it is too depressing to follow the political ups and downs.
Are we already lost ,as a country, but are the last to know ,as the "people"
