However, I've noticed that, rather than being about unity or celebrating differences, this is a volatile political forum (most people being conservative with a small handful of liberals and moderates) where people argue and fight rather than find common ground. I'm just curious as to how the thread got to have this description and name when it doesn't really quite fit what actually happens here. "Love and Light" don't really happen here, from the threads I've read.

I'm just curious as to whether this would ever be turned into a separate political thread and if there ever would be a more "love and light" group of threads? I'm not trying to criticize or anything; I'm just curious because I come here hoping for that at times but don't find it, and was just curious as to whether the political parts would ever be put in their own thread, if that makes sense.

I would be more interested in the group of threads as originally described in the forum description, if it ever comes to exist, so if that happens, I'd be glad to know!
