Whoever wins, it is going to be something like 275-280 for the winner. It will go down to one last state. And the Obama spin machine has not yet started the attacks on Romney. It would be very, very foolish to underestimate them.
A few percentage points increase in jobs, one more international peace treaty [mostly in Israel] and a successful troop evacuation in Af-Pak can do the trick, plus there will be a third candidate to split the conservative vote.

"A few percentage points increase in jobs"

Sorry that one isn't going to fly. Far too many Americans now understand that the 8.5% unemployment rate is a function of far fewer Americans actively looking for jobs..which means they've been dropped from the rolls of the unemployed by the Bureau of Labor Statistics

"one more international peace treaty [mostly in Israel]"

One more? In addition to which O'Bomber "Peace Treaty" now in force?

Further, the Muslim Brotherhood which has garnered a majority of legislative positions in Egyptian elections is now actively supporting dissolving the "peace treaty" now in force between Egypt and Israel.

"and a successful troop evacuation in Af-Pak can do the trick"

It will most certainly be revealed as "a trick" when the Taliban takes over the Afghan government again. But that won't happen before the elections this year.

A more accurate picture of O'Bomber's feckless leadership as "Commander in Chief" is already being seen in Iraq and will become even clearer by election day. With American troops gone from Iraq, violence, riots, bombings and murders are way up and a civil war looms on Iraq's horizon.

"plus there will be a third candidate to split the conservative vote."

Well, it's true some demoscat could pose as a "tea party" candidate. But that person would be immediately exposed as a shill for O'Bomber.

Any Republican running as a 3rd party candidate would have his/her political career become radioactive and promptly ended.

I generally agree with the rest of what you've said. The coming election is going to be the most negative in history. O'Bomber is going to have the better part of a Billion dollars with which to smear any opponent. He's going to attempt to focus attention on his opponent and off his abject failure in every area of presidential governance.

do you not see the irony, jwhop, in your stance? here at home you want the govt to back off and leave us to fend for ourselves in the "free" marketplace. freedom being the ultimate reward for the individual, to do as he will and make his own fortune - or NOT.

however you also believe the US should babysit other countries - apparently they are too dumb to figure out how to manage themselves, so we should stay there forever to protect them from their worst enemy - themselves!

i agree with IQ. your guys underestimated obama last time and you are still underestimating him. you predicted a win for mccain palin (because that was what you wanted)...i predicted an obama win (because it was obviously about to happen)...

i don't know that there will be a major bid from a third party though. i know we have the "justice party" but they are not making much noise or waves as of yet. ron paul will give his delegates to whomever he prefers, or believes will win. it's always possible but so far i don't see it.

Yeah, I remember it became official US policy to remove Saddam Hussein in....1998.

That was a Kommander Korruption year..now wasn't it?

Well, when the Occupy crowd starts blowing up churches, blowing up shopping centers and trying to establish a religious theoracy or Marxist government, then....I expect the US government to get off their butts and put a stop to it.

Until then, get the hell out of our health care, out of our schools, out of our foods, out of our farms, out of our businesses, out of our lives and...stay the hell out.

Actually, you brought up American military forces babysitting citizens of foreign nations.

What did anyone think was going to happen if Saddam was removed...as became official policy under Kommander Korruption in 1998?

That would be an occupation. True that we have bases all over the world...and also true that it is with the consent of those countries' leaders.
