i can't find the thread where randall and i were debating the necessity of us military presence globally.

randall and others insist we ONLY go where we are invited, like good boy scouts, to protect people from their wicked rulers. or other goodwill missions taken on unselfishly to help other less enlightened peoples.

it seems unfortunate that MOST of the world is so incapable of self-rule that we have to do it for them.

also most unfortunate that this has cost us dearly and continues to do so.
