In the Colonies we once were.
Until the tax upon it
Got a bunch of Bostonians sore.
So they snuck onto the ships
That flew the Union Jack
And dumped the boxes in the bay -
That's an early New England fact.
Called the Boston Tea Party,
I expect they'd be ashamed
To find out what Palin and her like
Have created in their name.
A train rolling in reverse
At full throttle behind;

To ram it's backside in the faces
Of those with more
Clearly reasoning minds.

Oxymorons all around us
Obfuscate the shameful way
The spinners and one-winged pundits
Blow hot air out every day.
Compassionate or Progressive
Conservative.
Self-canceling language lies
As bad as Conservative
Liberals
And as preposterous as a
Pig that flies.
Lipstick or not,
A pig is still a pig.
Words that cancel each other
Notwithstanding,
Progressive is forwards and
Regressive is backwards.

You don't need to be a
Dictionary scholar
To know deceit can be had
For less than a dollar.
The first Tea Party said no to tyranny
(Not to government assistance
To those out of work
Or losing their homes
Because deregulation
Allowed greed's lobbyists to
Stifle more humane resistance.

There sure is a place for Progressives
But it isn't with train in reverse -
The right is wrong
And what's left is right...
