When bureaucrats die they don't want to go to heaven. Bureaucrats would choose Washington D.C. as their final abode. Washington D.C. IS bureaucrat heaven.

How about this! The feds...bureaucrats...have embarked on a "study" of a "study" about "studies". A three bagger for sure.

Not only is this a total boondoggle but the GAO..General Accounting Office, concluded the material from the "studies" was not readily retrievable, they didn't know how many staff...bureaucrats...were tasked to do the "study" of the "study" about "studies" or how much the "stud(y)..ies" cost taxpayers.

So, while Barack Hussein O'Bomber is reducing the size of US military forces, reducing the size and strength of our naval fleet.....(this is the cue for leftist to break out cheering)....O'Bomber is not reducing the civilian work force...bureaucrats...at the Pentagon...or anywhere else.

O'Bomber must instinctively know there are more "studies" on "studies" about "studies" which must be conducted or civilization, as we know it, will implode!

This Is Not a Joke:
Government Issues Study of a Study About Studies
Alyssa Newcomb

The Pentagon was inundated with so many studies in 2010 that it commissioned a study to determine how much it cost to produce all those studies.

Now the Government Accountability Office has reviewed the Pentagon’s study and concluded in a report this week that it’s a flop.

The study of a study of studies began in 2010 when Defense Secretary Robert Gates complained that his department was “awash in taskings for reports and studies.” He wanted to know how much they cost.

Two years later, the Pentagon review is still continuing, which prompted Congress to ask the GAO to look over the Pentagon’s shoulder. What they found lacked military precision.

The GAO found only nine studies that had been scrutinized by the Pentagon review, but the military was unable to “readily retrieve documentation” for six of the reports.

The Department of Defense’s “approach is not fully consistent with relevant cost estimating best practices and cost accounting standards,” the GAO concluded. In fact, they often did not include items like manpower, the report found.

The Pentagon “partially concurs” with the GAO’s report.

The cost of the study of the study of the studies was not available from the GAO.

while obama is the president, and therefore it is called "his" administration, neither gates nor congress could be called obama in any way shape or form.

can we spot the difference here or is ODS at work again?

in fact this study of a study of studies is the creature of your fab republican/tea party dominated congress who believe in "SMALL GOVERNMENT"...and the second study the brainchild of robert gates, who has been in washington since 1980 until his retirement last year...

It would be helpful is you got your facts straight and kept them straight katatonic.

The year 2010 WAS during the O'Bomber administration. Everyone in the Executive Branch of government works for Barack Hussein O'Bomber. Those are facts katatonic.

Republicans did not set up these useless studies and the Tea Party had nothing to do with them either. Nothing whatsoever.

Of course the Congress has oversight responsibility on how the US government is spending taxpayer money and the General Accounting Office is taxed with riding herd on federal agencies...bureaucrats...which spend taxpayer money. The GAO concluded this bureaucrat boondoggle was a complete bust. Further, the information from the supposed reports couldn't be retrieved.

Just get it through your head katatonic that the period from January 20, 2009 until January 20, 2012 IS O'Bomber's watch. He's in charge and responsible for all the personnel...bureaucrats...working in federal agencies and the Pentagon because he's also Commander in Chief of US military forces...and the civilian work force...bureaucrats, who work at or for the Pentagon.

No Kat. I just appreciate people who have integrity and morals and who stand for what is right. I support those people. That is what I like to do in GU, for the most part!

That's right katatonic, governments...from both sides of the aisle DO waste taxpayer money and I certainly would not deny it.

The right thing for voters to do...is send those tax and spend-spend-spend idiots home for good...and I mean all of them.

Strange as this may seem to you katatonic, Republican primary voters..in the coming election and in the 2010 election did involuntarily retire some of those very people...and made it very clear to others they would not win their primaries...and they quit voluntarily.

Now katatonic, don't you think it long past time for Democrats to start pulling the weeds in their own garden?

i am always happy to see garbage where it belongs, in the trash can. either side of the aisle is fine with me. it is an ongoing job, rather than a revolution, in most cases.

many of those states that were treated to tea party candidates are having at LEAST as much buyers' remorse as those who voted for them...in other words, not a lot of people BOTHERED in 2010. lesson learned!

in wisconsin almost 20% of the population signed a recall petition for the lovely mr walker. i wonder how many actually voted for him? i suspect not many more than that!

ah, yes. of the approx. 5 million people in wisconsin, around 2million voted in the '10 election, and about 1100K voted for walker. the petition to recall him has almost that many signatures on it.
http://gab.wi.gov/elections-voting/results/candidates-on-ballot

so, since NO ONE else is splitting the vote on this recall, the odds are pretty good that his "triumph" will be short-lived.

when voter turnout is HIGH, jwhop, the dems usually win. not being a dem myself, i ask you, why do you think that is?

ami please stop pretending to be the nice little girl who just wants to share her lollipop. the post to which i responded was definitely not kind. i am tired of your continued efforts to diss me so i have responded IN KIND.

when i try to actually DISCUSS anything with you you run away to your "important things to do" or call me impossible and worse. so i no longer bother. the fact that you think people you disagree with are by definition lacking in morals says VOLUMES about YOU, not me.

it was someone else who described your mode of contribution as passive aggressive, not I.

so NOW i am done responding to you AT ALL.

Kat said: "when voter turnout is HIGH, jwhop, the dems usually win. not being a dem myself, i ask you, why do you think that is?"

Can you back up that ludicrous statement with any facts?
