It seems King Baby really does think he is King. God Help us if we don't vote him out. Can you imagine what he has planned in a second term. His whispering to the Russian Dude will be nothing compared to what he will put us through as King Baby, in his second term

what law is obama flaunting, ami? the supreme court made their ruling and despite "his" new judge, kagan, recusing herself, the vote (5/3) was in favour of the FEDERAL govt's authority in immigration matters.
http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-pn-chief-justice-roberts-crucial-in-arizona-immigration-ruling-20120625,0,3747105.story

and even the one part that is still standing of the arizona bill is on probation, so to speak, to see if it leads to racial profiling or not...

so are you just shooting out insults designed by someone else again, or do you have something specific to complain about?

The federal government has a cooperative agreement with lots of different states whereby local jurisdictions can contact the feds to see if a person they have in custody..on a traffic stop or some other lawful police contact is in the country legally.

Right after the Supreme Court ruling, O'Bomber canceled the agreement with Arizona, and only Arizona. That means Arizona law enforcement cannot contact the feds to see if someone they have in custody or have stopped is an illegal alien. Further, O'Bomber had Holder open up a hot-line for complaints from whiners who witness so called illegal stops and don't you just know that in the minds of some, they're all illegal stops.

This is pure bullshiiit and exactly what one would expect from a thumbsucking, whining, screeching Marxist narcissist like O'Bomber who lost the main issue in the US Supreme Court and is now retaliating against Arizona and it's citizens who are fed up with illegal aliens and the money it's costing them to feed, clothe, house, educate their kids and provide free health care for all of them. And that's on top of the cost of the crimes they commit in the state and the cost to incarcerate them, provide free legal counsel for them and all the rest as it applies to the Arizona Justice System.

Apparently our so called legal scholar...O'Bomber never heard of the 14th Amendment which requires equal treatment under the laws of the United States..and that includes equal treatment of the states by the government of the United States.

Of course, by the time this is adjudicated in court, voters will already have adjudicated O'Bomber as the worst president in US history and he'll be a "community organizer" again. At least he won't be screwing up America much longer...hopefully.

I don't think you have your facts right, Jwhop, per the norm.

Arizona can still contact the Federal government, and has a duty to do so (it is the Federal Government's duty to deal with immigration issues). The Department of Homeland Security just isn't going to do anything about it with regard to illegals pulled over in Arizona who haven't been found guilty of any other offense.

You're looking more and more foolish with each attempt to shield your little Marxist Messiah O'Bomber from his richly earned criticism acoustic.

Homeland Security suspends immigration agreements with Arizona police

"The Obama administration said Monday it is suspending existing agreements with Arizona police over enforcement of federal immigration laws, and said it has issued a directive telling federal authorities to decline many of the calls reporting illegal immigrants that the Homeland Security Department may get from Arizona police."

"Federal officials said they’ll still perform the checks as required by law but will respond only when someone has a felony conviction on his or her record. Absent that, ICE will tell the local police to release the person."
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/jun/25/homeland-security-suspends-immigration-agreements-/

Let's see, what did O'Bomber swear to do when he took the "oath of office" as president of the United States?

Oh yeah, now I remember.
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Hmmm, maybe no one has told O'Bomber that it's Congress which has the constitutional duty to write the laws...including the immigration laws and that when he took that oath he acquired a duty to execute those laws faithfully...including the immigration laws of the United States.

I didn't see anything in there about only enforcing the laws O'Bomber personally agrees with. Quick, someone help me out here. I know I must have missed that somehow because that's exactly what O'Bomber is doing. Only enforcing the laws he agrees with. So, unless there's some exception that I didn't notice, that puts O'Bomber in violation of his oath of office and he should be immediately impeached in the House, convicted in the Senate and thrown out of the White House.

No, I'm not. Your article didn't disprove what I said.

"Federal officials said they’ll still perform the checks as required by law but will respond only when someone has a felony conviction on his or her record. Absent that, ICE will tell the local police to release the person."

They can only say such a thing if they're taking the calls. They're not being directed not to take calls. They're being directed with regard to how to handle the calls.

More utter hysteria. How soon you forget all of George Bush's signing statements, which undercut SEVERAL laws (1,100 provisions in total) enacted by Congress during his tenure.

the SC let this portion of the law stand on an "as applied" trial basis. it is not out of the woods yet.

if arizona wants to take immigration issues into its own hands, even after the SC has basically said this is the feds province, then why would anyone think it strange that the feds are not interested in cooperating with them? just conjecture and a question, really since i haven't really looked into this part of it.'

@ ami, for someone who holds a masters, you seem to have a strange idea of the english language. "humility" does not include making brazen statements about someone's hubris and beyond-the-law behaviour with nothing to back you up! "lynching" comes closer to the spirit of your OP..nothing surprising there, but SAYING you are humble doesn't make it so. uriah heep being a prime example from literature...

You do see the absurdity in your statement right AG? DHS, although receiving a call from MY state asking to pick up the illegals (Which most have already been proven to be criminals... http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/story/2011-10-18/deportations-criminals-homeland-security/50807532/1) and deport them, will now let them stay in the US. The stats are in and out of the 400,000 that were actually deported, there was a significant number of those with prior convictions. Why should WE (AZ) be penalized because we are doing what the Feds will not do?

You live in a cush place AG, without the crimes that I live in here on the border. Do you have your backyard invaded by illegals? Has your car been vandalized with arrows pointing to a pick up point? Do you have to worry about your livestock being killed and BBQ'd? Hmmm, I think not, but we have this down here. I have been through several issues (car vandalism) because of illegals. I have had friends that lost their livestock because illegals came through and cut their fences in order to cross their land which meant their cattle got out and several died. That is someone's income gone because of this problem.

In AZ we have one of the highest rates of ID theft caused by illegals stealing wallets or coyotes using the scam card readers at gas stations. All the false charges have been traced to Mexico. This has even happened to US Army employees (my coworker for one) that has one of the whitest names on the planet yet Manual Martinez tried to use his credit card in Mexico to pay for more than $1200 worth of food and booze.

You have NO idea until you live here. It is too easy to live North of these areas and pretend to understand the problem. We have had to close most of our hospital OBGYN's because the places cannot afford to keep birthing babies for illegals and not get reimbursed.

Live in your little bubble and fault us for protecting ourselves. Then again, look at my birthstate of California. What a craphole that has turned out to be. When you finally because so overtaxed and overrun with illegals and caring for them, then maybe come back to the table. For now, keep living in weirdo land. As for AZ, we will be fine without the Feds. God know those aholes already did their best with Fast and Furious and we have the deaths to prove it. That is what this administration, DHS and King Babybrains Obama has done for us. Yet.... we still survive

Your USA Today article confirms the deportation of criminal illegals, and the Obama Administration has said it will only deal with those illegals found to be criminals. That means the Fed is going about business as usual. You seem to mistake the deportation of criminal illegals to mean that all illegal aliens are criminals (outside of the fact that they're here illegally).

no, ami, being here illegally does not make one a criminal, though it does leave you open to deportation...and in fact ALL people regardless of their nationality are covered by the "equal protection under the law" in the constitution,

including the right to go about one's business without threat of imprisonment and harassment...

"The last two clauses of the first section of the amendment disable a State from depriving not merely a citizen of the United States, but any person, whoever he may be, of life, liberty, or property without due process of law, or from denying to him the equal protection of the laws of the State. This abolishes all class legislation in the States and does away with the injustice of subjecting one caste of persons to a code not applicable to another. . . . It [the 14th Amendment] will, if adopted by the States, forever disable every one of them from passing laws trenching upon those fundamental rights and privileges which pertain to citizens of the United States, and to all persons who may happen to be within their jurisdiction."

While illegal aliens do not enjoy all of the rights granted to citizens by the Constitution, specifically the rights to vote or possess firearms, these rights can also be denied to U.S. citizens convicted of felonies. In final analysis, the courts have ruled that, while they are within the borders of the United States, illegal aliens are granted the same fundamental, undeniable constitutional rights granted to all Americans.

http://usgovinfo.about.com/od/rightsandfreedoms/a/illegalrights.htm

i understand the problems archer talks about BUT most "illegal aliens" are peacekeeping folk who only want to find means for sustenance. you know, the sort of people who BUILT THIS COUNTRY including its buildings, roads, dams, bridges, and worked the farms so you could eat too when americans wouldn't work for $1/hr. would you?

Yes, working with fake papers makes you a criminal. Doing anything as a fraud makes you a criminal. How many ways do you want to twist the English language, Kat? Words mean something.

yes they do, ami, when are you going to try reading mine?

neither you nor i mentioned WORKING WITHOUT PAPERS.

many of those people came here when you didn't need permission to cross the border. passports weren't even needed for them to be here LEGALLY.

even criminals are afforded the protection of the law. there are lots of things the law can't do to you. however this law tried to do to all suspected illegal aliens what the NDAA tried to do to all suspected terrorists...which i notice was not considered dangerous by most of the conservatives here either.

Ami.. Don't waste your words. Remember.. Pearls before Swine. They are not intelligent enough to digest what you are putting out. Instead they will always fall into the same BS steps that they were taught...They are jokes to me and they always have been. Really.. think about it.. How is that HOPE and CHANGE working out? AG is a Touch Military but he got out as soon as possible (he could not take it). Kat.. well, God knows what she wants in life because it ALWAYS changes, with the exception of hating anything that has to do with values. She will be at your door if it means anything against a conservative principle.

But... the truth is, neither AG or Kat have ever lived on the border. I do. I have for many years, even after moving to Germany and coming home. I live with the real fact while these imposters pretend that they know. So AG, come stay with us.. or better yet, I will find a place for you to stay on the border (less than my five miles) and you can talk your heart out to the Coyotes and their charges. I want YOU all to make peace with them. If you can do it, well thank GOD because not EVEN our super Libs here in Bisbee could do it.

no, try reading a few more times. i did not say they were, then were not criminals.

i said that in the US even criminals are entitled to certain rights.

i also said that neither you nor i mentioned working without papers, but whether being here without them is illegal.

perhaps you would like to go to arizona and find some australians or canadians to arrest because they don't have working papers? it is not illegal to be a foreigner in america without them. never was never will be (hopefully). it is illegal to WORK without those papers. but walking down the street with a mexican appearance does not require working papers. just a passport and stamp. until recently that was not required either.
