interestingly there was a big flap when romney's father ran for president in the 60s. he was born in mexico and many people felt that made him INeligible. the issue was bogus...both george romney's parents had retained their citizenship when they went to mexico to avoid prosecution for polygamy (george's father had three wives).but considering all the hooha about obama's birth certificate it seems strange that no one HAS asked to see mitt's b.c. doesn't it? all the cries for thorough vetting don't seem to apply to anyone BUT obama. why is that? does the fact that his mother didn't reach her majority until two whole months after obama's birth really make it that much of an issue? yup, sure is a funny joke when you think about the fact that he is once again saying that HIS word is inviolate and no one NEEDS to question it...as with his business practices and tax returns... but to be fair to romney, HE at least has shrugged off the whole "birther" sideline about obama. he knows it is just an attempt to make obama look ALIEN. romney prefers just to talk repeatedly about how "foreign" obama's ideas are...not really any way of rebutting that sort of thing!
