Mitt and his agenda still doesn't resonate with me. Appointing Ryan doesn't do anything to warm me beyond fiscal responsibility. Completely missing from Mitt's agenda are the social based issues, all in an effort to stretch the tent as wide as possible. I'm still fundamentally with Santorum' platform. A big bunch of us are totally indifferent to Mitt. We don't want Obama. We also don't want Obama-Lite. Nowhere have I heard anything on Dodd-Frank, Sarbannes-Oxley or tax reform, even though Romney is supposedly a private sector businessman. Nowhere have I heard about securing the borders or national security. Nowhere have I heard about foreign policy, especially China and Iran. Romney has no clear stance on the trade imbalance. How about monetary policy, interest rates and inflation? Obama can't speak two coherent sentences on those topics and neither would Romney. Pandering doesn't work. Securing the low hanging fruit on a tree may broaden the base in search for popularity. But I want a conservative for President. I'm not interested in a lukewarm Republican with a centrist agenda. Not another bunch of liberal Bushes. That is why I'm not a registered Republican. My Mrs. wants to sit out the election, as she did with McPain. His presence at the podium last night nauseated me.IP: Logged |

Romney = ObamaLiteThat's a good one! My problem with Santorum is, I think he's a fake. Almost as bad as T-Paw was, but not THAT much better. I'm registered Republican, to vote for Ron Paul in the primaries, and vote for Ron Paul I will, come November. Just like I did in 2008.

You GOT to get rid of O'Bomber. With your state, doesn't it always go Dem?
In my state, I should round up a bunch of my son's friends and take them to vote with me, as Florida seems pivotal. I hope I am not too lazy ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Hmmm, Romney wasn't my guy either YTA but I have heard Romney talk about securing the border and also about sending illegal aliens home. He took a lot of heat for this during the primaries. He also talked about China manipulating their currency to gain an unfair trade advantage. He also talked about reforming or killing Dodd-Frank. The question is...whether any of the talk will translate into legislative and executive action. IP: Logged |

Yes, I'm nevertheless part of the Party's efforts in my state, even though it's a losing proposition IP: Logged | |
