Definitely not a hot ticket item like Ryan's and Romney's acceptance speeches.

The O'Bomber campaign is having to give tickets away...out of town no less just to get an audience in the joint.

I suppose they already prowled all the bars in Charlotte and got no takers.

Of course, I can see their problem. Many demoscat office holders who are up for reelection aren't going to the demoscat convention. They don't want to be seen in the same state with O'Bomber...let alone in the same room.

Dems Giving Away Tickets to Obama's Speech
You need to be at Manuel's Tavern by noon Friday.

Dunwoody Democrats have a chance to see President Barack Obama's acceptance speech in person at next week's Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC.

The DeKalb Democratic Party sent out this message Thursday night.

DO YOU WANT TO GO TO CHARLOTTE AND BE THERE IN PERSON FOR THE PRESIDENTS"S ACCEPTANCE SPEECH?

In Atlanta: Manuel's Tavern, 602 N Highland Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA 30307

In Macon: Bibb County Democratic Party, 835 Forsyth St. Suite A, Macon GA 31201

Here's the rules:

Everyone who is at Manuel's Tavern or the Bibb County Democratic Party by noon is eligible for two tickets. Arrive early if you want, but it won't give you a better chance to win. Just be there by 12 noon!

If less than 50 people arrive, everyone will get a pair! If more than 50 folks arrive, we will do a random drawing to determine our winners.

There is no cost involved. We're not selling the tickets, we're giving them away.

Since we're not selling tickets, you can't sell them either! If you sell your tickets to someone else, they will be deactivated.

For planning purposes, we expect that President Obama will speak at 8pm on Thursday. To insure that you are in your seat for the speech, you should arrive at the stadium that afternoon. There will be strict security at the event.

Oh, and these are just the announcements from Atlanta and Macon GA. What about South Carolina, Virginia and West Virgina and oh, also the rest of North Carolina. All are close enough to give away free tickets to fill out the audience for the television cameras. We just haven't heard about them...yet.

So now, because O'Bomber's convention speech is such a "cold ticket" and it would be political disaster for news cameras to capture O'Bomber speaking to an empty arena, there's a plan afoot to move his speech from the 74,000 seat stadium to a 20,000 seat facility.

You know, in case the weather "MIGHT" be bad on speech night.

Obama to move speech from 74,000-seat stadium to 20,000-seat arena?

That decision has not yet been made, but it certainly appears the Democrats are laying the groundwork. Due to the weather, of course (wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more)

Democrats are poised to avoid the danger of President Barack Obama accepting his party’s nomination before a partially-empty stadium by shifting his speech to an indoor arena and citing ‘severe weather’.

The Obama campaign have been working desperately to ensure that the 74,000-seater Bank of America stadium in Charlotte would be filled.

Buses for students from across North Carolina and even members of black churches in neighboring South Carolina have been arranged.

Footage of rows of empty seats at the stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers, as Obama speaks on Thursday night would be politically disastrous – an enduring image of the contrast between his campaign of ‘hope’ and ‘change’ in 2008 and his dour, negative struggle for re-election in 2012.............

conservatives4palin are trying really hard to make a story out of nothing judging by what you just posted. they have NOTHING but innuendo to back up that claim. not even a stray clue.

and it sure is a pity that some people from main street might get into the convention, isn't it? in a time of high joblessness it really is too much to let the commoners in to the circus, dontcha think? and arranging collective rides, how very communist and desperate.

next you know the lazy beggars will be expecting to vote or something outrageous like that...

oh for the days of simplicity and the constitution, when only free white property owners dared use the first amendment in their defense!

lovely, glenn beck this morning talking about the speaker CASTRO at the DNC, pretending that fidel had something to do with the whole thing...

castro being such a unique name, they must all be brothers, right?

over 65,000 people obtained "credentials" to go to the DNC. dismal turnout for sure.

School yard-

JW is using the abysmally juvenile technique of mitigating the disaster of the GOP convention. Or at the very least trying to. He knows what is coming.

You know the Daily Caller kat- a few months ago, I posted their gun giveaway ad? Well, the guy who runs the Caller is all about the tweets. He says if you really want to know the pulse of political discourse you watch the tweets.

'ADD' americans move on after a few hours, and are ready for the next round. No mulling, no dissection, and little reflection. Hence the popularity of the tweet. Here, I tend to agree that this is a solid indicator---at least for a few hours...

Michelle Obama= 29,000 tweets per hour
Mitt Romney= 14,000 tweets per hour

The first lady knows how to work a room.

Mitt's smile reminds me of a tupperware lid.
~and just as plastic.

"So as a cap to four years of political hostage-taking, a final general election pitch from Republicans this year is to hold the next four years hostage as well: give us total power to begin implementing our agenda and start dismantling this silly, expensive New Deal/Great Society system and this European-style progressive tax code, or nothing at all happens. We’ll get our way eventually, so why not get started now?"Ed Kilgore

A school friend was going to be there for the President's speech until the venue changed. She cancelled the trip [from Arizona] this morning.

I don't blame them not wanting to have it in the rain. The campaign clearly knows how to create a great experience for its guests as evidenced by yesterday's proceedings.

It was moved because O'Bomber couldn't fill the 74,000 seat stadium...no other reason. He's a cold ticket in 2012.

Weatherman says there's 0..Zero chance of a thunderstorm so that's a bullshiiiit excuse floated by the O'Bomber campaign.

Other possible excuses O'Bomber could have used which were just as likely to have occurred.

Fear of deadly meteor showers
Fear of al-Qaeda terrorist attack
Fear of possible Sub-arctic cold snap

Why thank you katatonic for admitting you heard it first from the Sarah Palin site.

Hahahahahahahahahaha

You have to have photo ID to get into O'Bomber's demoscat convention BUT...

LEFTIST DON'T WANT VOTERS TO HAVE TO SHOW IDENTIFICATION TO VOTE IN ELECTIONS!.

This is the kind of hypocritical stupidity leftists are famous for.

you continue to use lame equivalencies. the convention is hardly an essential right like voting. why is it okay with you that people should be made to pay to vote? or have to take off worktime to get to the id store?

yesterday the forecast was different and tomorrow it may change again.

the republicans postponed their do for a hurricane that didn't happen. so what?

Joe Scarborough On Obama's DNC Speech: 'Game, Set, Match' For Democrats (VIDEO)

Joe Scarborough is declaring Barack Obama's speech at the Democratic National Convention an overwhelming victory for the president and the Democratic party.

Obama accepted the 2012 Democratic nomination Thursday night. His address received mixed reactions — most agreed that he gave a solid speech, but were not ecstatic as they were after Michelle Obama and Bill Clinton spoke.

On Friday morning, Scarborough had nothing but positive things to say about Obama's performance. "We were 10 minutes into the president's speech last night... and I just sat there thinking, 'game, set, match, the Democrats have trounced the Republicans in these conventions,'" he recalled.

He said that "Obama connected himself with the American Dream for the first time" at the convention, and that his speech was "obviously so much better than everybody at Tampa."

Scarborough continued to take shots at Romney while praising Obama's speech. "As far as substance... [Obama] said nothing but he said nothing so much better than Mitt Romney said nothing," he remarked, to the applause of the live audience.

He also threw in accolades for Michelle Obama, Joe Biden and Bill Clinton at the DNC.

"I mean how overshadowed does Mitt Romney look right now? How terrible, how flat, how dull does the Tampa convention look right now?" Scarborough said. "Republicans blew it... in part it has to do with the fact that we nominated a candidate... that our base wasn't excited about." http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/07/joe-scarborough-obama-speech -dnc_n_1864019.html?utm_hp_ref=media

So, guess what else didn't put in an appearance for O'Bomber's big, big, big speech in Charlotte? No rain, no lightning, no thunderstorms, no hail AND

No mention of O'BomberCare AND
No mention of O'Bomber's Stimulus package
..which wasn't stimulus at all but pure political and financial corruption and graft.

One would have thought O'Bomber's "Signature" piece of legislation would have been front and center in the reasons he should be reelected.
