From O'Bomber down to the lowliest Mushroom in O'Bomber's Mushroom Brigade, Leftists can't handle the truth.

Leftists either run from the truth like a vampire runs from a cross or like Rachel Madcow, they lie about it. But, leftists can't handle the truth because the truth always cuts across their agenda and the results they've produced.

Nothing scares Obama like truth
By Michael Graham
Friday, August 31, 2012

“Dems need to hammer Ryan fast and prove clearly that he is a liar because he is a very skilled pol.”
Howard Fineman...Journalist??

The Huffington Post

To paraphrase Mark Twain, there are three kinds of liars: Liars, damned liars . . . and screaming, foamy-mouthed MSNBC hosts watching Paul Ryan speak.

We have now moved into what academics might call the “post-factual” portion of the Obama campaign. For example: Tuesday night Ann Romney gives a warm, charmingly earnest speech. Obama flak Robert Gibbs calls it an “angry” night “full of insults.” What “insults?” He doesn’t say. He just says “Republicans are angry!”

Why? Because he needs them to be.

The RNC features black Republicans like Condoleezza Rice, Rep. Artur Davis and Mia Love. CNN and MSNBC fill their panels with nuts like Toure and the Rev. Al Sharpton decrying the “racism” in Tampa. Their proof? They don’t need “proof.” For Obama to win, they need Republicans to be “racist” — so the pundits say they are.

Republican Mitch McCon- nell quips “Obama hasn’t been working to earn re-election. He’s been working to earn a spot on the PGA tour.” MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell knows what’s up: “He’s aligning . . . the lifestyle of Tiger Woods to Obama.”

And in perhaps the most blatant example, DNC spokesflak Debbie Wasserman Schultz used a Los Angeles Times article to claim that Mitt Romney is responsible for the abortion plank of the GOP platform. CNN’s Anderson Cooper confronted her with the fact that the Times article she quoted said the exact opposite — that Romney did not support the plank as written.

Wasserman Schultz’s answer? “Anderson, it doesn’t matter.”

Wow.

Liberal “news” man Howard Fineman did us a favor Wednesday, laying out the Democrats’ strategy: “Prove clearly” that Paul Ryan — and Mitt Romney and anyone else who can do math — is “lying” . . . whether they are or not.

Why? Because Obama supporters can’t handle the truth. The facts about the Obama record are so awful, so indefensible that the very idea of “facts” must be destroyed.

Here’s a story Ryan told in his speech about a promise Obama made at a Janesville, Wis., auto plant: “Candidate Obama said, ‘I believe that if our government is there to support you, this plant will be here for another 100 years.’ That’s what he said in 2008. Well, as it turned out, that plant didn’t last another year.”

It’s an effective metaphor for the many promises Obama has made about the economy that didn’t come true. And that was the problem. It’s too effective. And so the Fineman Effect kicked in: Ryan was declared a liar.

“That plant was already closed in 2008,” screamed Chris Matthews, who nearly had to be placed in Hannibal Lecter restraints for his own protection. Thursday morning, Obama lackeys in the “politi-fact” business jumped in, claiming Ryan’s statement as false.

One problem: Ryan was right. Local media at the time reported the factory still making cars in 2009, and even GM, the plant’s owner, has posted on the Web: “Janesville was placed on standby capacity in May 2009.”

After their failure in convincing Americans of a “GOP War On Women,” Democrats have declared their own war: A war on truth itself.

Oh, and I'm sure we're all surprised to see the usual suspect's final authority on "fact checking"...Politi-Fact-Less jumping into the fray to carry O'Bomber's water...and getting their FACTS wrong.

Another post from FantasyLand. If one person here has had an extremely difficult time with the truth over time, it's very clearly you.

Ryan has been factchecked extensively since joining the ticket. Not to be made out as a liar, but to correct the incorrect things that have come out of his mouth. People should know when politicians are attempting to deceive in some manner.

Number one, you won't find that quote on GM's website. Go ahead, and look for it.

Chris Matthews was also right.

Thursday is last day of production as Isuzu line comes to end

By JIM LEUTE ( Contact ) Tuesday, April 21, 2009

JANESVILLE — Exactly four months after General Motors ended sport utility vehicle production in Janesville, the automaker will shut down its medium-duty assembly line.

Production will end Thursday on the local plant's Isuzu line that dates back to 1994. Fifty-seven production workers will lose their jobs.

GM spokesman Chris Lee said another 40 to 50 employees in skilled trade will work to decommission the plant that after nearly 90 years is no longer in the automaker's immediate production plans.

GM said last June it would end local production of light-duty trucks—Suburbans, Tahoes and GMC Yukons—by the end of 2010 at the latest. It also said it would shut down the medium-duty Isuzu line sometime in 2009.

SUV production ended in Janesville on Dec. 23, a little more than five months after the plant lost a second shift of production. More than 2,000 hourly and salaried GM workers were laid off as a result of the production cuts. Supplier companies laid off another 1,200 people.

For the Isuzu line, "sometime in 2009" means Thursday. http://www.gazettextra.com/news/2009/apr/21/thursday-last-day-production-isuzu-l ine-comes-end/

That's from the Janesville Gazette. Isuzu isn't GM last I checked (Isuzu is a Japanese company), and the GM use of the plant ended in 2008. The broader point as well is that GM has lived on with government assistance as per Obama's prediction. It may have shuttered that particular plant, but that wasn't Obama's choice now was it?

Incidentally, I couldn't locate where GM said anything about the plant on the internet. Even if they did say that it went on stand-by in May 2009, the implication seems to be that that's when Isuzu abandoned the plant, not GM.

Excuse me oh fact-less one but politi-fact-less got it wrong, Chris Matthews got it wrong and Paul Ryan got it right. That's the record in the real world where leftists never venture.

And, in the real world, your little Marxist Messiah's record is so bad he can't run on his record and he and his sycophant supporters are reduced to hyperventilating over Romney, the bully from high school..oh and never mind that O'Bomber bullied someone too...and it was a GIRL no less, and Romney's dog, and Ann Romney's horse and Paul Ryan not wearing a tie and the phony Romney war on women and the equally phony Ryan pushing granny over the cliff in her wheel chair.

Talk about anything at all...but O'Bomber's miserable economy with the most consecutive months with unemployment over 8% since the Great Depression, the most Americans on Food Stamps in US history, the loss of $4500 in wealth for every American family under O'Bomber, the most Americans in poverty since the 1960s, not one O'Bomber budget deficit of less that a TRILLION dollars, a real unemployment and under-employment rate of 15%, getting America's AAA credit rating downgraded for the first time in history, gas prices doubled since O'Bomber took office and O'Bomber hasn't created even 1, (one) net new job in almost 4 years of infesting the White House. Oh, and today, the National Debt hit 16 TRILLION DOLLARS and O'Bomber added more to that debt faster than any president in US history.

Nope, they sure as hell don't want to talk about any of that. Leftists just want to talk smack about Romney and Ryan. But, it's not working.

Throughout the spewing does one read anything to refute what AG posted? Nope.

I skimmed, granted.

Spew away, it would be scary to keep all that rage bottled up.

The pot named Michael Graham is a true demagogue (using Mencken's definition: "one who preaches doctrines he knows to be untrue to men he knows to be idiots.")

So does the pot have anything else to say about the kettle?

I agree with Node. Not an iota of refutation of what I said. Some more squawking about the real world, but no indication that you're familiar with it.

quote:
Leftists just want to talk smack about Romney and Ryan.

Once again, this is YOU projecting your traits on to other people. No one talks more smack about the party they oppose, at least in these parts, than you, Jwhop. Just look at the title of this thread: "Leftists can't handle the truth." How about your names for Democratic politicians? Nancy Pelosi? Bill Clinton? Barack Obama? Joe Biden? You've got pet, put-down names for them all. I don't think you're going to win any converts to believing it's the other guy that's so sour.

We've already gone through your bogus claims about spending under this President, haven't we? Not a "budget" (if that's what we're calling these spending bills) has passed without Republicans. Revenue is still down because Republicans won't raise taxes. America's credit rating got downgraded due to shenanigans by Republicans when it came to the debt ceiling. Every financial matter across the board has at least as many Republican fingerprints as it does Democratic ones. I understand that it's Republicans only hope (and that it's a good political tactic), but anyone with any sort of intellect can work out that blame isn't consolidated under one person.

no, jwhop, the republicans and their talking heads just want to spew about the obama campaign spewing about romney...when in fact obama IS running on his record, he WAS handed the worst scenario since the 30s (that pesky little cyclical thing again!), he has done a tremendous job DESPITE the filibuster champs of the last 100 years and a do nothing congress whose EXPRESS GOAL IS TO DEFEAT THE SITTING PRESIDENT(and screw the rest of us)

and THANK GOD THOSE PEOPLE HAVE FOOD STAMPS AND ARE NOT DYING IN THE MIDWEST OR ON THEIR LONG WALK TO MORE FERTILE TERRITORY.

in the 30s we had the dustbowl as well as the depression, and the supreme court beat back most of FDR's original attempts to bolster the economy. california had road signs up saying "jobless keep moving, nothing here"...and there were no food stamps, just a LOT OF STARVING PEOPLE heading in from the dusty midwest.

there was no medicaid or medicare, but a lot of people dying of TB as well as hunger.

yes sir things were just fab back then. you are not old enough to remember but i'll bet your parents did. things weren't so great in california either, but thank god they had the commie movie industry going great guns, eh?

meanwhile the FED is getting ready to create more inflation...this is not a football game, geezer.
