Dear All,
There has been a 40% increase in the outbreak of the West Nile Virus, with more than sixty deaths. This is a time when taking 2-5 grams of organic Vitamin C daily is highly recommended, for enhancing preventive immunity as well as for healing the affected ones.
I am not a doctor [and this is a friendly advice, not an "official" medical prescription] but an engineer and have observed 100% efficacy of heavy Vitamin C dosage in reducing the healing time of very high fevers. It has worked better than anti-biotics in some cases [where heavy antibiotics could not eradicate the fever]
There is a myth put out by official science that a daily intake of 50 mg of Vitamin C is sufficient. Well it is sufficient to prevent scurvy, true, but not enough to battle advanced viral fever.
The brilliant double Nobel Laureate Linus Pauling found that 5 grams a day of Vitamin C is easily metabolized by the body. Linus lived a very long life.
I would personally take his word over that of any pharmacist.
