How Shall I Answer this.Technically speaking, Global Warming is more of an alternation of weather patterns and its effect on the atmosphere.
Meteorology is about what happens in the Atmosphere, clouds and storms form in the atmosphere and wind blows the clouds in different directions.
So under that classification you could consider the snow in Arizona connected to global warming.
However, in N. America and during the winter time most of the warm major air masses are replaced by the cold continental polar(Cold Air blowing south from the N. Pole) and Maritime Polar(Alaskan and Gulf Stream).
Depending on the pressure gradient, it can get blown in unpredicted places.
Either with or without Global Warming you can still get unpredicted weather.
So you can argue both ways for or against global warming, neither is conclusive enough.
Case in point:
A Physical Geographer would always connect people, places and the environment and how they interact.
A Geologist would say the same earth process are constantly the same and will be the same, just at different rates.
