I worry for Rush's safety. All you praying people, put him in prayer but for GU, Rush brought to the fore that Obama is a continual campaigner and now the mainstream media caught it. People are starting to see Obama for who he is. Rush has a lot of courage. Bless you, Rush!

lmao, a president taking his stuff to the PEOPLE? how dare he subvert our democratic republic??? how dare he ask the citizens to make up their own minds and communicate with their reps? heresy!!

i heard rush today. still browbeating people with the "everyone thought obamacare was going to be free" chant...maybe rush thought that was what was being said, but i don't know a soul who thinks or ever thought obamacare meant "free" healthcare.

there's a price for everything. apparently rush's tax returns are 15 pages long, or thereabouts. the people he was talking about have no such problems, their tax returns are MAYBE two pages and a w2 attached. and at present in order to get subsidized healthcare poor people have to jump through plenty of hoops, it won't faze them for a minute...

This was one of the greatest calls in Rush's history. The self identified low information voters are woke up. Of course, if someone doesn't KNOW he is a low information voter, he can't wake up

We're all low information voters, if we vote, because the government is secretive.

Actually i thought rush surpassed himself today...he called HIS AUDIENCE/SUBSCRIBERS low information voters, which, remember, is code for morons.

In otherwords he admitted he educates no one...

Low information voters are those who blather on using anothers opinions and idioms while making no sense.

As IQ pointed out (elsewhere) calling the voters you don't like "low info" was a tactic hitler used to exclude pepple from the process. And rush's JOB is to predigest and slant facts with the intention of dumbing folks down.

Fortunately we still have other sources for those who care to seek. But with murdoch and the kochs bidding for ever larger control over the news media that may not last.

I predict that with the passing of the Age of Pisces signalled by this huge stellium (starting to break up now) rush and the neptunian fog in the media will also start to unravel.

Ever-hopefully yours,

let's not give in to fear!

How do you listen to Rush, Kat? Since I've started driving back and forth between the Bay and the Central Valley I've listened to ALL kinds of Conservative radio, and never once has Rush been on. The biggest names I've heard are Glen Beck briefly, and Sean Hannity.

On the car radio, i only manage a couple of minutes these days before his whingeing drives me to change the channel but he is on 910am all morning weekdays and sat/sun too at other times.

I get a headache listening to hannity, savage, coulter et al, and beck is just so boringly self-congratulating i can't listen to him either...but hartmann gets pretty shrill himself, randi rhodes is amusing and smart but predictable - though she is best for facts - norman goldman is terrific but gets carried away with his fervor...

They are all entertainers first and foremost. Levin has the most nauseating voice and tone i have ever heard on the radio.

Nice assessment!

I guess that because I'm not driving in the mornings I'm missing it.

I don't know if I can recall the names I've heard. Sean Hannity was in a non-political part of his show, and he seemed like a decent guy for that segment. That's not to say I haven't heard him completely misrepresent facts in the past, however. Beck I heard for maybe 15 minutes yesterday, and he and his crew were harassing one of his radio crew for missing a cue. Someone said, "Obama," and he didn't turn a light on or something. Both the harassment and the practice of outlawing Obama's name seemed rather juvenile.

I've listened to Chris Daniels, I think his name was. He was alright. Normal Conservative nonsense, but when a caller called in to challenge the majority opinion, she was respected. She was well spoken to begin with, but kudos to the host for showing some tolerance for an opposing view.

I listened to Inga Barks for awhile one night. She was average. Same stuff really. I came in on talk of the Pope. Not a lot really irked me through most of it. I did take issue with her Michael Moore bit. When you have to start your bit with trying to take the guy down a few pegs, you kind of undercut your point, because you're saying that you're more petty than you are intellectual. It would have been better for her case to make him out to be successful, and then wonder why he's so stupid in this particular regard (though her segment wasn't about anything he did that was actually stupid). She also showed questionable logic when talking about the Democratic super majority in California State Senate. She was trying to drum up fear of higher taxes, even though the budget is finally balanced due in large part to our Democratic Governor.

Oh, I think I did hear a bit of Savage, but that seemed a bit off the rails, and he was pushing his product too much. Self-congratulatory as you say.

I listened to him for about ten minutes in my entire life, and he was contradicting himself and waffling around the whole time. So I didn't listen again.

i never listened to rush until they replaced my usual choice with beck...whom i can't listen to. i take information gathering fairly seriously and i don't like to listen to just people i agree with...IF any of them filled that slot, which they don't at the moment.

the Drudge report is responsible for the material on the majority of these shows. the origins of the drudge report are pretty interesting...and how his bias becomes accepted as "news" by so many people because of the way it gets picked up by most of these talk show freaks.

but once you have listened to rush for the 3 weeks that are supposed to turn you into a Follower,it's pretty predictable what he will say about whatever talking points are out there...really he is a one-pace horse, EVERYTHING is filtered through the FEAR THE LEFT lens and OBAMA gets a mention every 4th word.

if there isno such thing as bad publicity, one might be excused for thinking the right-wingers ALL work FOR the president.

Reminds me of a road trip back to Texas I took on 2004. On some long stretch of road the only stations that came in clearly were talk radio (or so bad they weren't listening to) and it was similar to that. I finally got the one driving and listening to turn it off (laughing) after I covered my ears and summed up what was repeated over & over (so why keep listening to the broken record?) with, "Liberals, terrorists, and Kerry, oh my, we're all gonna die!"

Thank God for Rush. When most everyone is talking out of the wrong orifice about the Boston tragedy, there is a beacon of light. Wonderful Rush.

If "talking out of the wrong orifice about the Boston tragedy" is refering to Americans mourning the dead, praying for the injured and justice against the bombers then YES. We are talking, praying and mourning.

Good to know Rush is distracting you from the tragedy.

No, talking out of the wrong orifice is all the people who want it to be a home grown person such as one finds on here. Our country is decaying from the inside out from people who think like this.

Blessings
