Consider the mighty Repubs

beating Obama with clubs.

but talk of "impeachment"

a grand over-reach-ment

will keep them the party of scrubs.

A rule of media thermodynamics: For every conservative over-action, there is an equally breathless and ideologically opposite counter-action. If conservatives have become geese that continually lay malformed eggs, progressives are the type to continually sample it and then critique the recipe, even if the point is simply for them to eat something disgusting.

That means that the idea of impeachment has to be actually entertained, which then means that it becomes a legitimate debate topic on cable news, which will create enough chum in the water for the gaggle to feast on.

1. Rep. Jason Chaffetz, whose Benghazi hearings have proven only that Benghazi can be covered by the mainstream media, believes that Obama could be impeached because his "lies ...gets to the highest levels of our government, and integrity and honesty are paramount." (What lies? Not sure.)

2. Sen. James Inhofe thinks that Obama should be impeached for perpetuating "the most serious, most egregious cover-up in American history." (Of what? Not sure.)

Go ahead and try.

It's the one way Republicans can waste the political capital that they'll get from the one real potential scandal, that of the IRS' ill-considered targeting of low-level conservative groups. That's not a scandal that implicates the White House, but it's enough of a "see I told you so," and it does shift the burden to proving somehow that Obama is not involved in any of this, or that these "scandals" aren't really scandals, but just (1) a tragedy, (2) poor bureaucratic judgment, and (3) an aggressive legal prosecution of leaks of classified information.

But, you know, by all means, go ahead and try to impeach him. It's a great way to avoid governing. http://theweek.com/article/index/244165/an-impeachment-limerick

It appears that I'm not the only one calling Shenanigans.

Yep!
call shenanigans

to declare that another's words or behavior is full of **** , off topic, or passive-aggressively annoying. to call another on their bad or mischievous behavior.

We have tried that before.

Your invitation reads like it's implying that you have an open mind, and like you are genuinely interested in hearing Obama's merits, but history shows us that you don't have that open mind. You're not really interested in having your beliefs challenged. Am I right?

Aside from that, I don't typically make things about Obama. "Obama" has become the catch-all word for Republican contempt, but "Obama" isn't always where the ire should be directed. Don't get me wrong. I understand that he is the figurehead at the top of the government structure, but he doesn't micromanage every little thing that happens. We know in the IRS case, that individuals acted independently, and without direction from Obama. The op-ed you posted wants to make it out like a campaign action was indirectly telling IRS staffers directions via code, but that's not literally what happened. That's an attempt to spin information to fit a convenient narrative. I have no idea if you understand what I'm saying here.

You know, often you try to make out like you're the smart person here, but there really isn't any evidence that you know how things work in politics, or in an organization. The way you've sought to build arguments here have been poorly executed. You make a suggestion that something is true, and then I go to read it to find out that you didn't understand the information you posted.

You are right AG. We are too far afield to agree but I appreciate your attitude of a general tenor of respect.

I know you are a not a hateful person, so see ya around
