Our children are coming out of college with massive debt as the Clown in Chief gives our tax money to other countries and many of them hate us

well sometimes people who werent born into enough fortune to allow themselves to sit on their -sses doing nothing might appreciate a chance at actually having good education and life.

its just the jealous incompetents that are afraid of competition for their workplace.

Would you rather he spent $20 million to bomb them? Do you protest the war budget as much?

YES, we need money here, first. That is just common sense to a person who loves this country, as the Clown in Chief does not. He wants to destroy the US because he hates it due to his own inner hatred of all the USA stands for which is goodness, freedom and good values.

Finally a story with some merit, huh, Ami?

How does that $20 million stack up against what is spent by our government for our own people? Obama wants the U.S. to regain it's position as the educational leader of the world by 2020. Federal spending for the benefit of U.S. citizens in college is $77 billion. $20 million would be .028% the amount they spend here: just over a quarter of one percent. That $77 billion doesn't include the loan guarantees, which is over $100 billion. $42.5 billion is given as grant money. http://febp.newamerica.net/background-analysis/federal-higher-education-programs-over view

Mr. Conservative is a nincompoop trying to score points by invoking Indonesia. That program states that 44% of spending must go to students getting advanced degrees in our country (so Obama is promoting domestic schools). I'm sure they'll "hate" us for that, Ami.

This kind of thinking is your craziest. To you he must be some criminal mastermind or something. There's a lot lacking in your basic understanding of human nature. It's more common for people to want to perfect systems, than it is that they want to break them down. In fact, breaking down systems is usually an effort to replace it something better.

Well, THEN, Juni what about money to Arab countries? Second, Israel is the only really sane country in the Middle east( as we understand sanity) so people should thank God for her.

But, I don't want to fight, Juni.

Good because I don`t fight.

The simple point being we share the same view that American money should be spent on Americans first. Eliminate hunger, disease and provide jobs here then spend the bucks elsewhere. Yes?

America is by far the most charitable nation in the world. We spend billions in aid to other countries. Even when at war with a nation, we drop food and medicine to our enemy. But it would be nice if some of that money would be used at home. We have millions of children that go hungry here.

When your country has its hand in every country in the middle east "cutting off" is a problem.

America is charitable and should be. We each should be charitable.
" we drop food and medicine to our enemy"

Drop some of it in America where there is hunger and disease. As long as there are displaced Vets, I will work for food signs or rickets in children here etc, I will be an advocate of fill this countries needs first over fattening other countries coffers.

Totally! That is one reason I believe Obama wants to destroy us( among other reasons) He has no business giving money to other countries while we are suffering. He has no sense of this but gleefully goes about giving away our tax dollars as if they are Monopoly money

Not as much, Juni. Obama is the only president in US history that hates this country.

He is a true disgrace for that reason alone, although there are many more.

Your opinion of his hate duly noted.

Each admin has ratcheted up the donations, patriot act et al. What we see today is a conglomeration of all past acts. Not simply one man;one admin.

Regardless of who follows him as President, you will see more ratcheting.... more opinions , more laws enacted and so the worm turns

Interesting opinions here. My take is that in this--the most prosperous nation in the world--many children go to bed hungry every night. Sometimes the only meal they get is in school. I see the side that wants to prevent obesity in kids, so they serve up low-calories, but there is another side--a more sinister side that many schools do not want to face--the fact that the reason this child wants an extra piece of chicken or more bread is because they will eat nothing else for the rest of the day. And very little on the weekend. And that breaks my heart.

^ Word.

There were times in my husband's life that his free school lunch was the only real meal he got all day.

If nothing else, it's very difficult for a child to learn when his mind is occupied by hunger.

Interesting thread. You will find that people around the world are agreed with you that they don't want the US spending it's money in their own countries, as despite what you are told, it is for sinsiter reasons most of the time

(look at what the 'ally' prime minister in Turkey is doing now...he wants to destroy its secular identity and even wants to knock down all statues of it's found father Ataturk, basically remove the Turkish identity, destroying their economy when until 2 years ago it was doing so well, while the rest of the world was in a mess...all with the excuse of religion like any good psychopath...and the US sends him so much money!!)

On the other hand as you say kids who actually just need a bit of money to put food on the table in the US have nothing....even worst people like Vietnam war veterans don't get anything from the gov't with the excuse that the US was never 'officially' at war back then....

and then of course we have those evil incarnate themselves, collection agencies chasing young people who bothered getting an education, and raising interest so that their student loans are almost never payable....saddest part for me with this one, is i did try to pay this off for someone once, but the exact culture that allows these things to carry on, doesn't allow most people to think there are people out there that are willing to go the extra mile for you even if they don't know you well.....sigh.

okay will get off my soapbox now...but i think everyone around the world will agree with you and be much happier if the US kept it's money in the US and spent it on the people it collects it from....
... Kansas alone can feed the whole of the Western world, without leaving anyone out, with plenty more left for others....

of course then again this would make everyone happy but the big co-operations who run the world, and need everyone to be indebted to them so they can ensure a steady supply of slaves/labour ...'employees'...putting their efforts to keep them richer....

it's shameful for everyone to know that their are kids that are starving not even in a 3rd world country, but in the worlds strongest economy

Precisely. So the outrageous spending on other countries makes it a crime in my book.

Thing is, there IS enough money to care for America and donations.
Buying anothers loyality, paying for their military and change into their corrupt leaders pocket should take a back seat.

quote:

44% isn`t good enough to suit me, but it indicates or proves his work for American students and money for them here.
