If i were a coal miner, or someone who lived near a mine or refinery, i would be lobbying for my job to be transitioned to the burgeoning solar industry...that would put me in a great position to move forward in career snd in health..And personally I would feel much happier about the long and short term effecs of my work on me, my familytoo, friends and everyone else. And my environment woyld be healthier and more beautiful too. Who wouldn't rather work in the daylight and be sble to breathe, than risk their life like moles underground only to choke on the "side effects" thru retirement? IP: Logged |

Problem is, solar doesn't work. Coal is reality. They don't complain about their jobs and want to keep them.IP: Logged |

By burgeoning, I take it you mean bankrupting? Since dozens of Obama's solar company contribution ratholes have gone bankrupt. IP: Logged |

Funnily solar is working v well for those who haven't been afraid to try it. Many countries have got behind it and are striding ahead of us in innovative and ever more efficient ways of using it. Meanwhile it is raining here, the second year of disruption of our usual weather pattern (I've been here 19 years now and until last year it never rained between may and the end of.october apart from a thunderstorm one hot summer day). The govt is not doing enough to switch from dangerous(nuke and fracking) and plain dirty (oil and coal) fuels from where I sit. I thought you were also unhappy with pollution? IP: Logged |
