for over 8 hours at Heathrow Airport. He was threatened with imprisonment if he didn't answer all questions, and his laptop and other personal items were stolen.

I think this might seriously backfire on the thugs who did it.

well he is suing them, and rightly so...almost no one gets held for that long.

i am surprised the Brazilian government barely said anything about it though...of late they've been very vocal about their citizens rights.
i guess they are on a summer break for now...

Welcome!

I agree and was hoping the Brazilian government would be more vocal.

They're saying Miranda won a partial court victory, but to me it's just the court asking for some paperwork to allow the injustice to continue "officially."

Greenwald said the material is heavily encrypted with sophisticated means of encryption, and it's useless for them to even try and get the information. But who knows.

Thanks for the welcom Faith, but i've been here before

Well, who on Earth is saying this is a victory? Assange? He also said 35 years for Manning is a victory, and that he can last another 5 years where he is....and again Assange is a star sign Cancer, and as the joke goes they have 'near life' not 'near death' experiences

Still amazed that two gay guys are more man enough than entire governments.

Last year the Brazilian gov't wouldn't shut up about how offended and rude they found the way they weren't 'warmly' greeted by the white house, given how much business Brazil generates fo the US...so later this year the president will visit the US again, and the white house will 'make up for it'... have a proper military parade and other fussy stuff...
but when it comes to asking for answers to why one of their citizens was treated that way when he is clearly not a terrorist at all, and the reasons are obvious to why they did that...silence...

don't know about the encryptions though, i do think this was all done by Snowden who does seem to know what he is doing compared to the other two 'exposers of the truth'...but won't put it beyond them to just go find some of those 'genuis' hackers they had caught and ask them to de code everything in exchange for lower jail time or whatever...ugh the world is being ruled by some really disgusting people these days!
