bad link or maybe their server is overworked?This story was preceded by the rebels themselves admitting (reportedly) to accidentally setting off the gas. The source was dubious, as I reported, but that doesn't mean the facts were wrong. Just needing verification. IP: Logged |

Very little actually from the UN report, and a lot of speculation about what it doesn't actually say. There was a report in the conservative/christian press last week that rebels had admitted to setting off the gas, that it was an accident (they didn't even know what it was nor how to use it) and that it was supplied by SAUDIS, not libyans, israelis or americans. The piece went on to lecture about how this was the direct result of their evil religion and not following the TRUE one. So as I said when I first mentioned this, I take this report with a grain of salt. Let's see what the UN actually said, it'll be out any time now. The middle east has been an intentionally fed hotspot at least since Israel was placed there by the so-generous-English, who had no business being there either... Best to stay out and I hope some spines in Washington can make that point. I don't care whose. Meanwhile lobbying your reps is a better use of energy than pretending we know exactly what happened and who's the bigger crook. IP: Logged |
