Generation Opportunity, the Koch-funded group urging young people to "opt out" of Obamacare, has spent a lot of time trying to appear cool. More time, perhaps, than they've spent researching their assertion that Obamacare is a "bad deal" for millenials. When we interviewed GenOpp comms director David Pasch in October, he admitted the group was still "working on" the math to back up that claim.

Generation Opportunity

Nevertheless, GenOpp has pushed forward, throwing booze-fueled tailgates at colleges across the country to spread their "opt out" message. They have their logo emblazoned across the koozies, bottle openers, and sunglasses they pass out to undergrads every weekend. They bring a beer pong table to each event. GenOpp's mascot, Creepy Uncle Sam, gladly poses for photos with half-naked co-eds.

And now, GenOpp announces that it will join Snapchat, a popular photo-sharing app among youths. Snapchat is often used to send nude photos (since the images "disappear" after 10 seconds). The group announced the move with a Youtube video that's a play on the House of Cards Season 2 teaser. Instead of Robin Wright seductively dragging on a cigarette, it's Creepy Uncle Sam. (GenOpp's betraying their Beltway influence here. No one outside of Capitol Hill thinks House of Cards is cool.) Interested parties can find GenOpp at "creepyuncle.sam" on Snapchat.

As Boehner pointed out the other day, these "groups" who have been twisting arms and lining pockets in the Houses, and in the media thru Limbaugh, Hannity and Fox&affiliated lines...

Haven't even LOOKED to see if what they're tearing down is anywhere near as bad as they say

Does anyone wonder why? What is their REAL goal? Hint:
"twisting arms and lining pockets in the Houses"...ie Owning the Govt.

Do you really think they have your best interest in mind when they attempt to buy the govt that you actually have a say in, in order to turn the country into a corporate playground where votes don't count (if they are held at all)?

Do you understand why they like you to focus all your hatred and blame on one person who has limited power to do any of the things they are scaring you about?

"Do you understand why they like you to focus all your hatred and blame on one person who has limited power to do any of the things they are scaring you about?"..Catalina/katatonic

Yeah, O'Bomber has limited constitutional authority but he's acting like he's the last word on the law...he's acting like a little third world dictator thug.

He's currently re-writing the O'BomberCare law that Congress passed..but he has NO LEGISLATIVE AUTHORITY whatsoever.

We don't even need to get into O'Bomber's rule by executive fiat.

The usual suspects and O'Bomber Kool-Aid drinkers support all this because they think they're going to get something from the government at everyone else's expense.

Okay, jwhop, money where mouth is time. What do you think people here expect to get at "other's expense'?

What do you think unpaid ER visits cost us, the taxpayers already?

I used to wonder when you would realize we the people are being pitted against each other and get over the rhetoric....now I tend to think you just like thumping your chest and feeling superior, and if possible, rubbing peoples noses in shite). So I have just about given up listening...still open to some actual details as opposed to slogans if you care to "converse"

That re-writing is a good thing, Jwhop. It's getting challenged, and maybe this time the Supreme Court (if it gets that far) will be able to stop this abomination. You can't get a law passed by Congress and then make whatever changes you want at your own whims. You're not a King yet, Obama! And even a King has a Parliament! Maybe Obama thinks he's a Medieval King!
