Sanaa, Yemen (CNN) -- A U.S. drone mistakenly targeted a wedding convoy in Yemen's al-Baitha province after intelligence reports identified the vehicles as carrying al Qaeda militants, two Yemeni national security officials told CNN on Thursday.

The officials said that 14 people were killed and 22 others injured, nine in critical condition. The vehicles were traveling near the town of Radda when they were attacked.

"This was a tragic mistake and comes at a very critical time. None of the killed was a wanted suspect by the Yemeni government," said a top Yemeni national security official who asked not to be named because he is not authorized to talk to media.

U.S. officials declined to comment on the report.

That's probably true. Yemen has a history of NOT WANTING to capture or imprison terrorists. In fact, Yemen has been complicit in letting terrorists turned over to Yemen escape.

But, this statement from a Yemeni security official in "weasel speak" doesn't mean the people killed or injured were not terrorists wanted by the United States. It was a very strange way to word his statement..."not wanted by the Yemeni government"...as though if they're not wanted by Yemen they must be innocent.

Then again, it may have been a wedding party of totally innocent victims of O'Bomber's killer drones.

I agree it was oddly stated.

"The attack proved the need for tighter control and regulations as far as drones are concerned. At times, they have proved deadly and destructive to civilians," said Abdul Salam Mohammed, the president of the Sanaa-based Abaad Studies & Research Center."
indeed.

If O'Bomber really holds that the only good terrorist is a dead terrorist, then yes.

However, there's good evidence O'Bomber is not anti-terrorist or anti-terrorism.

He's attempted to get Israel to turn over the Golan Heights to the Syrian terrorist regime.

He pushed for the terrorist organization..the Muslim Brotherhood to govern Egypt...and objected when they were removed and wants them reinstated.

He has sent money and arms to the terrorist organization Fatah/Hamas/PA which were/are used to attack Israel.
