What if Dubya signed a Classified Executive Order that has already legitimized Tyranny?
The entire NSA snooping started in his regime.

It would take a good twenty years to correct the wrongs done by Dubya, irrespective of which party is in power till 2028. In any case Obama's term comes to an end 2016.

No Democrat President would have invaded Iraq unnecessarily, that too by lying about WMD. Dubya made a total mess of the American Economy and his Neocon coterie is directly responsible for the death of every American on foreign Soil since 2003.

Actually as shura pointed out Reagan set the NSA in place, though it may not have been so named in the 80s. But certainly GW authorized the wholescale wiretapping (that the Patriot Act gave him permission to) of our phones way back then before the internet was quite so widespread. 60 Minutes covered this and the biggest saving grace was they "had no way of getting down to analyzing it due to sheer bulk"...apparently as the web developed those means have walked apace.

But anyone who thinks the SPY CORNER of the govt is run by the President should check out what Hoover had to say about the Kennedys in the 60s. He spied on THEM.

I suspect black is not the issue for most Llers tho the suspicion that he is a Muslim cannot be overlooked. Though the white separatists in the thread Randall just closed tell trith to the fact that many white Americans DO enormously resent that a black man won the presidency, not once but twice. That he is not their kind of Christian is also a nasty thorn in their side.

Not sure why Randall moved that since the question of racism and Obama hate come up frequently on this forum. Randall?

Here the racism is sub-conscious. People who like to think they can pretend everyone is coloyrless (tho they label them frequently) and put a "rational" reason to their suspicions that the first brown face in the Whitehouse is a racist and therefore the old white American demographic is slipping away.

There is racism in us all but if we are unaware of it it can only cause more trouble.

Re the White Separatist movement, it is a political push. It has been going on for ever but is gaining momentum among young people. It speaks to some of the reasons people hate Obama, though many will not be so bold as to come right out and say it.

Bill O'Reilly, whose family were once "dirty micks" is decrying the darkening of America regularly. This is part and parcel of the push against Obama that many couch in political terms.

Ami, I realize you think so and I applaud your good intentions. However you are compelled to mention all the different groups represented on your site visitors. You are compelled to point out BLACK conservatives. And you lump all Arabs as the enemies of Israel, even though many actually live and participate in her daily life. You also applaud Phil Robertson's "free speech" but deplore black people making "white jokes" about Romney whose black grandson is, by the way, named Kieran (meaning: black).

You make no distinction between Israel and all Jews, even though some Jews have the same problems with some Israeli policies as people here whom you label haters. You don't see how focussing hate on Islam is the same as Hitler focussing it on Jews (and other NON Aryans).

I can see that when you are one on one you see the person not their colour. But you don't see that their colour has influenced the way they were treated from toddlerhood and that influences their relationship with the world. Can you hear me?

This sometimes unconscious fear of the "other" is very definitely at play in the propaganda against Obama, whether the words used are political, religious, or insisting that as a brownskin he should not even point out that we have racism in this country, systemic, endemic. It is WHY a man raised white embraced his dark skinned heritage, because he was SEEN and treated like a black man as he grew up,
