maybe its just me but....from my pov there are far more people in western society lashing against israel while turning a blind eye towards the strong relationship between the usa, other eu countries and saudi arabiaand, according to some, saudi arabia has a a very poor human rights record...there is also the 9/11 connection...and, aren't there a few terrorist groups with a homebase in saudi arabia? mind you, the israeli gov is not perfect but...i read so much anti-israel statements to the point that the criticisms seem so cliche, it worsens when people are silent about usa allies that maybe, just maybe...should be scrutinized way more... there's some weird double standards going on...is it really the 'oil'? if this has been discussed before, feel free to ignore. As we begin to move away from the middle east for our oil needs, we will probably not be as close with the Saudis.IP: Logged |

We will always be allies with Israel. The Saudis, not so much. IP: Logged |
