Weather Channel co-founder John Coleman believes global warming is a myth, but says it's hard to get his views out."A climate skeptic can rarely get on TV ever since Al Gore made it a plank of the Democratic Party," Coleman said Monday on Fox News Channel. Though the Environmental Protection Agency and the majority of the scientific community says carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas, Coleman disagrees. "Well, there are 9,000 Ph.Ds and 31 scientists who have signed a petition who say it is not a significant greenhouse gas," Coleman said. "Oh, it's a teeny, itsy-bitsy greenhouse gas, but it's not in any way significant." Responding to Gore's claim in his film "An Inconvenient Truth" that the Arctic ice cap will be completely gone in summer within 50 to 70 years, Coleman said the Arctic ice cap is at the highest it has been "in several years." The Antarctic ice cap is at an all-time record high in both coverage and thickness, he added.

Yes, he's right...except for one minor point.He says there's 9,000 PhDs who say climate change...otherwise known as Man Made Global Warming...is not a problem. But, the number of scientists who signed that petition isn't 31, it's 31,000 American scientists That's a big understatement of fact! IP: Logged |

"More people are waking up to the global warming con. The latest voice of reason is the Weather Channel founder who recently declared that the so-called science proving global warming is man-made is not valid. The global warming hysteria is to this century what eugenics was to the last. So much of it is junk science that will inevitably be discredited once the hysteria dies down and actual science prevails. In the meantime, don’t buy into the global warming con simply because it’s hip with celebrities and limousine liberals who consume more fuel and emit more emissions bee-bopping around in their private jets and multiple mansions than the rest of us ever will. We could have more respect for these folks if they behaved in their private lives as if global warming really is as catastrophic as they publicly claim it is."
