Well, I knew the usual suspects wouldn't be in favor of real "medical pot". They don't want "medical pot", they want recreational pot.I could and would support pot for easing symptoms of disease...if that pot is prescribed by a real medical doctor to treat a real disease and not prescribed by a doctor in a pot prescription mill for recreational usage. There should be very stiff penalties for fraudulent prescriptions, dispensing pot without a prescription and driving while high on pot...or alcohol. Now that your arguments have been heard, you've blown it and your real intentions are clear. IP: Logged |

The mills became a huge problem here after the medical usage law was passed. There were actual billboards along the highway advertising the Dr and prescriptions for the pot. The abuse had the law revisited and right now, it`s about as concrete as sand and who knows who has a "legal" license so they fine or jail anyone caught. The abusers destroyed the good intentions of the passage and until straightened out, all will pay a price for the abuse. In essense,I believe, the question is, should all pot, for any reason (like alcohol), be legal and taxed like alcohol. ------------------ Christian, Jew, Muslim, Shaman, Zoroastrian, stone, ground, mountain, river, each has a secret way of being with the Mystery, unique and not to be judged. "In essense,I believe, the question is, should all pot, for any reason (like alcohol), be legal and taxed like alcohol."I don't believe government should be any part of destroying lives or passing laws which have the effect of harming the physical health of citizens. In spite of all the blither, blather and bloviation by potheads to the contrary, Pot does that. There's big trouble coming to Colorado and other states which have legalized pot for recreational use. The taxes collected off pot won't begin to cover the costs associated with pot usage. IP: Logged |

I guess alcohol and oxycontin should be criminal too by those standards. Plus cigarettes, cigars and a host of other substances which people use regularly, are addictive, and on which there are countless studies as to the physical and social harm they inflict. But you dont accept the science on booze and tobacco, do you, jwhop? Why are you the judge of what its good and bad for People? Like I said, if alcohol prohibition came back tomorrow you would a) blame Obama and call him a dictator and b) get out stumping against it. So what it boils down to is YOU, who have never TrIed pot, medical or otherwise, believe what you've been told by the war on drugs...and YOU get to decide whether others should use it or not. Are you also a member of the flat earth society, or do you KNOW the earth is round because you've been told so? IP: Logged |

No one here has said otherwise...but that video shows a bunch of drunk people not stoners, and was used dishonestly by the NO campaign. Just like those who quoted Nugent out of context.Tired of liars IP: Logged |

Yeah, there was Morgan...who was feeling no pain ranting about how he was going to get some pot...for medicinal purposes. Right! Check! The no voters on the Florida pothead amendment got it right. IP: Logged |
