"Now they have a senator who wants to criminalize miscarriage..."Which leftist loon were you listening to this time? Just asking since you didn't provide even a smidgen of attribution. Ummm: "Make no mistake about it, all my policies are on the ballot...every single one!" ~The Marxist Messiah, O'Bomber He and his policies got stuffed. IP: Logged |

In addition to taking control of the Senate and adding to their majority in the House, Republicans landed additional Governorships across America...a bunch.Even in the arena of state legislatures, Republicans increased their leads. Democrats Sink to Pre–Great Depression Levels in State Legislatures John Fund November 5, 2014 In addition to the GOP gains in the U.S., Senate, House and governorships it was an historic night for the party in state legislatures. Here is the summary by Tim Storey of the National Conference of State Legislatures: The Republican wave that swept over the states left Democrats at their weakest point in state legislatures since the 1920s. Everything went in the direction of the GOP as Republicans seized new majorities in the West Virginia House, Nevada Assembly and Senate, New Hampshire House, Minnesota House and New York Senate, The West Virginia Senate is now tied. Control of several legislative chambers was still up in the air early Wednesday as counting continued in several tight races that will determine control of the Colorado Senate, New Mexico House and Maine Senate. The lone bright spot for Democrats was holding majorities in the Iowa Senate and Kentucky House. The overall number of divided state governments will increase with changes in governor in places such as Massachussets, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Maryland along with the legislatures in West Virginia, Minnesota and New York. UPDATE: Republicans have taken control of the Colorado senate and the New Mexico house. They also have a chance to win the Colorado house and the Washington house, after mail-in ballots are finally counted. The state legislative chambers now stand at 65 Republican, 23 Democrat, 1 tie, and 4 undecided. http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/392074/democrats-sink-pre-great-depression-levels-state-legislatures-john-fund

Yeah, the democrats here are all pretty much gone. And you can just ignore me, right? What exactly do you think is good about this election? the crazy factor of so many of the "winners" and/or the fact that 2/3 of the country are too fed up with the Red/Blue Divide attitude to vote at all...? But the diehards are crowing and encouraging the newly Republican Congress to follow in the footsteps of Coolidge and his 1920s policies which brought "GREAT PROSPERITY"...oops, not noticing what the result of that "great prosperity" was...the GREAT DEPRESSION. It is amazing to me how many people are parading their victory with as much hate as ever, it has to be rammed down the "losers" throats until every last shred of opposition is gone.. But I fear, folks, this is a Pyrrhic victory so enjoy your Winning Team Status while it lasts...unfortunately it fails to recognize that to succeed a country must be the team, not factions within it. I do imagine the presidents grandchildrens first words will contain veto tho. Here`s the hope for a balanced political force working for the People . ------------------ Christian, Jew, Muslim, Shaman, Zoroastrian, stone, ground, mountain, river, each has a secret way of being with the Mystery, unique and not to be judged. Unfortunately, I don`t think it will be repealed. It most likely will be revised but still stuck with some form of it.------------------ Christian, Jew, Muslim, Shaman, Zoroastrian, stone, ground, mountain, river, each has a secret way of being with the Mystery, unique and not to be judged. I think the US Supreme Court is going to strike down the subsidies handed out in Federally run health care exchanges. If so, that will gut O'BomberCare. Also, watch what happens when tax filing season gets here and taxpayers find out they owe the IRS money because their O'BomberCare subsidies were overinflated and they owe more..or, they weren't eligible for subsidies in the first place. Not a pretty picture developing here. IP: Logged |

It will be interesting to see how far the Republicans and scattered Dems will go to revise / gut Obamacare. The subsidies are a heckofa great place to start. ------------------ Christian, Jew, Muslim, Shaman, Zoroastrian, stone, ground, mountain, river, each has a secret way of being with the Mystery, unique and not to be judged.
