Sometimes we need to take the long look so that what appears to be a confusing world around us makes sense. In this instance, we go to Alex Epstein, founder of the Center for Industrial Progress, who just this year wrote "The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels."

"In the last 80 years, as CO2 emissions have most rapidly escalated, the annual rate of climate-related deaths worldwide fell by an incredible 98%. This means the incidence of death from climate is 50 times lower than it was 80 years ago," writes Epstein.

"Once again, the leading experts we were told to rely on were 100% wrong. It's not that they predicted disaster and got half a disaster — it's that they predicted disaster and got dramatic improvement."

And yet again, we find that trusting the "leading experts" on global warming and climate change is a mistake. Trust the data, trust the evidence, trust reality — but be skeptical of experts who have a political agenda.

Who just this year wrote "The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels." This is the guy you expect is a credible expert? While he's getting paid by conservatives and the fossil fuel industry, you want to try to imply that people's whose jobs it is to measure and interpret the data are in it for the money. Does that make sense? Common sense says, "No." Alex Epstein has far more income potential being a talking head for fossil fuels than ANY scientist does for simply doing their [peer-reviewed] job. Which scientists are reviewing Alex's work for accuracy?

Exactly! Don't trust some hack in the pocket of "Big Oil." Ridiculous.

Obvious.

He just made a simple rational observation: Higher CO2 but low to no consequences. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the lack of a correlation.

He selected a particular consequence (bypassing all other consequences) to make a convenient argument. Since when is that considered to be a good argument?

There have been no other consequences. All of the models have failed. Gore was wrong. Everyone else was wrong. Where is the end of the world?

There have been other consequences. New articles come out daily categorizing the myriad consequences that are being measured. Look up any legitimate science journal or magazine.

Like the arctic ice? Wait, it has actually thickened. Like isolated localized events that the doomsayers latch on to?
