CNN Anchor Refers to Dallas Gunman’s Actions as ‘Courageous and Brave’

June 13th, 2015During a discussion on the Dallas Police headquarters shooting this afternoon, CNN anchor Fredricka Whitfield appears to have really misspoken in referring to the gunman’s actions as “courageous and brave.” Whitfield was speaking to CNN legal analyst Philip Holloway when she said this: “It was very courageous and brave, if not crazy as well, to open fire on the police headquarters, and now you have this scene, this standoff. So you believe these are the hallmarks of more than one person’s involvement.” UPDATE — 06/14/15, 12:07 p.m. ET: According to CNN’s Brian Stelter, Whitfield will apologize today during her show. I don`t care for Fredricka but I do watch cnn. She did indeed say that and did apologise. My question was how an attacking gunman and courageous could be used in the same sentence.
Misspoken or not.  ------------------

It's the very same mindset a member here exhibited when he said...."terrorists are ballsy" in regard to news stories relating how terrorists in Iraq were opening up with automatic weapons on un-armed civilian Iraqi citizens and killing them. Let's see, "BALLSY" consists of killing people who can't shoot back. Gee, what brave/ballsy warriors those terrorists are!I don't care that this airhead twit apologized...or almost apologized. She said it, her wording was crystal clear and she DID NOT MIS-SPEAK!  If someone had taken a shot at O'Bomber and missed and some newsy airhead had said on national news that the shooter is..."courageous and brave", that newsy airhead would be fired within 24 hours. Not suspended, not forced to apologize..FIRED! The fact this airhead newsy..and others just like her are still working at CNN is one of the reasons I never watch CNN. But, that's just my opinion of CNN. Others may find parts of CNN news programming interesting and informative. IP: Logged |

There are a couple on there that are extremely left and I can`t much tolerate them but I find the straight forward news reports informative. Now we all know where Fredricka stands on terrorists....  ------------------
