A Real Politics Poll came out today. The results are amazing for Republicans. It's a tie in Florida, and Trump is down by only 2 in "impossible" PA. But Trump is ahead by 5 in IA, 2 in NV, and 1 in NC, OH, and CO. Keep in mind, that just one month ago Trump was down by 11 in CO! All of these states went to Obama except for NC. These 5 states will give Trump 1/3 of electoral votes, and then Trump will also grab Florida. It appears that Trump might even turn PA red!

Yes, electoral votes. The U.S. does not elect presidents directly via popular vote. Only Electoral College votes, aka electoral votes, count.

As of today, when all recent polls are considered, not just the specific ones Randall posted, the most likely to be accurate prediction is that Hillary Clinton will win about 300 electoral votes, and DT will get 238. 270 are required to win.

But the prediction changes daily, and there's still time between now and election day for things to change, especially in Florida, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Ohio, which are essentially tied and have the biggest chance of tipping the election one way or the other.
