...over the coming election. That's understandable.

Why is it understandable?

I'm stressed because my mother's dead, my uncle was given 24 hours to live last night, and one of my cats has been sick.

Those were so close as to be statistically insignificant. I wish they'd have at least divided into party AND generational group (so we could compare between millennial Republicans and millennial Democrats, for example). What they have strikes me as pretty pointless. It's probably just a lazy way to get more views to keep the prices up for advertising space (though I prefer that to clickbait titles).

Though it would suggest that the millennial vote will be bigger than expected if so many are that stressed over it. I know some here at LL were counting on the millennials to stay home. 'Course they could just feel they're screwed either way, but in that case they wouldn't be checking the polls as that would be like checking the polls between whether it's your left arm that's going to be broken or your right arm.

What I'd like to see is some of the elderly talk about how elections have changed over the decades. It seems to me they get more ridiculous every presidential election. This time it's like an actual reality show rather than a political election. If they keep going down this path then the next presidential election will replace debates with rap battles (complete with mic drops)!

And there's a problem much bigger than the election if that many people are waking up in cold sweats at 3 AM to check polls.

I guess I technically qualify as elderly. I remember the 1960 election, although I was in elementary school, and have always followed politics.

This one is like no other. It is horrifying.

It is chaos. I still feel that the aim of choosing two unfit candidates is for the election to be suspended. This chaos is too well organised, and of course Putin is playing his part well. If there is an apparent threat, then state of emergency is a very realistic outcome. Another two weeks of this circus and people will be screaming for Obama to stay on.
