Trump convinced Ford to keep their Kentucky plant and not move it to Mexico! More accomplishments to follow.

Some other people seem to be listening to Trump...and getting the message.

Take that statement with a gain of salt. I work at that very plant, and it was never going anywhere. We build the Escape and the MKZ. The MKZ was indeed slated to move elsewhere in a couple of years, but that model represents a very small percentage of the vehicles we produce. We would like to keep it, but losing it would have little overall impact on the plant.

So the story is only a half-truth. Our plant was never in danger of closing, as per our last contract, but keeping the MKZ does give some amount of continued production business, and thus less of a chance for some minor lay-offs.

We will take what we can get, and keeping the MKZ is a good thing, whomever is responsible for it.

This is the 3rd half truth story about Trump keeping jobs from Mexico.

Detroit was one

Yes Ra, but Trump is just tuning up the band. Wait until Trump really addresses the reasons American corporations are leaving America.

Taxes and stifling regulations are due to get the axe in the Trump Administration.

Trump isn't even in office yet, but the left is rooting for his failure. This country is going to win again.

I am a member of the UAW, a conservative, and I voted for Trump with no hesitation. Even a great number of the hard-core union democrats that surround me voted for Trump. We see first hand how NAFTA and other "free trade" deals threaten our livelihoods, and more and more of my union brothers and sisters are coming to understand that the Democratic platform is failing them.

Finally, they are beginning to see the truth, because the lies and failed promises they have been clinging to for decades via the Democratic party are right in their faces. It can no longer be ignored or taken for granted.

For us, US jobs are THE issue, and only Trump makes sense.

If he gets the jobs to stay in the US, could he also impose laws that force the break-up of Labor Unions and their united voices here?

Ra, I say this as you mentioned being a member of a Labor Union.

Traditionally, don't the Republicans fight having these?

I'm wondering:

What do people here think is going to happen with 'Labor Unions in America' under a Trump Administration?

Nope, he can't break up unions, but although they typically vote Democrat, many voted Republican this time.

Exactly. The wall, nix it. Repeal Obamacare, nix it. That leaves lowering taxes.

You must read this. This is perhaps the most disturbing account about Trump. http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2016/07/25/donald-trumps-ghostwriter-tells-all

Hillary used a ghost writer for "It Takes A Village." It's not an uncommon practice. But it doesn't mean they (Hillary and Trump) didn't make meaningful contributions to the material therein.

Yeah, and The Marxist Messiah, Obama used a "ghost writer" to pen his idiotic nonsense, Dreams From My Father.

The "ghost writer" The Marxist Messiah, Obama used IS a domestic terrorist Communist bomber named Bill Ayres.

Wonder why all the leftist sycophants don't want to talk about that?

I did some ghostwriting before...
You have to have a Flair for it!

(old joke... there was an ink pen called a Flair back in the time I wrote)

About the unions...

Yes, I am a member of a private union, the UAW. And yes, traditionally unions vote Democrat because Republicans are supposedly anti union (true to a degree). But what good is a labor union if there is no labor to unionize? A union is only as strong as it's membership, and without jobs there is no membership and no union.

We need good manufacturing jobs in America.
