I watched Sicko by Mickael Moore and I was so heartbroken. http://youtu.be/WVRRu4cpVYs It made me cry. I am sorry you have to live with this system. It is so unfair to be brought back to the harsh reality of money when you are sick and all you need is care, not more worries on top of your health condition. So sorry. I'm so sorry for the people who never figured out that there's a difference between having Health Insurance and Health Care.Two different things entirely. Now, for all those who wish to take advantage of the fat head Moore's idea of good healthcare. That's found in communist Cuba. Go...and be happy. pire, better think about emigrating from France. What's the difference? If l live in the "richest" country in the world but struggle to get my health problems taken care of that is a problem. Somethings wrong with that. IP: Logged |

Sure lola, something is definitely wrong when people can't get "actual" health care.Having a health insurance card is worthless if you can't find a doctor who takes that insurance...or, your deductible is so high that you wind up paying all or almost all of the bill. IP: Logged |

Yes.. Time for medicare for all or better yet cradle to grave single payer... which still gives those who want it the opportunity to go private/ alternative. Like England was before Thatcher and the Corporate insurers started siphoning off funds... No one should have to die in the street for lack of care in the #1 nation of this world. Stripping people of medical, housing and food benefits will only speed up our devolution into a third world nation.. no matter how much we spend on military toys. No nation that cuts medical research in favour of death machinery can claim preeminence or even that it "looks after" its own. What was it Tom Paine said? You'll have to emigrate to get single payer health care.But, like others who came to America from Single Payer nations to get real health care, perhaps we'll let you return for treatment.
